Uzer my boy. Daz and his followers have at least for now moved from cw to soul wars and have been saboing games in the cc dismantle. Theyre already spreading toxic behavior to the new soulwars players. The sad truth is their will always be players like this, lurers, sabos, anf cheats. Im glad hes left cw at least for now, but i expect more bad behavior on 334 at cw is still continued, but definitely is going to get better with his influence diminished. I think one solution might be to separate themed worlds and separate servers used for more competitive play by changing the rules on the theme worlds specifically to help control bad behavior and sabotage. This is just an idea and would need a wealth thought plan to be submitted to Jagex.. anyway, gl to any community this guy touches

No, because his idea wont work. E-Sports like CS/LoL/Dota work, because every round/game is fresh. Everyone starts on the same playing field and only your skill in that particulary match matters. You can hop on your favorite game, play a few rounds and leave. OSRS is about your character and its levels. You cant just say " I want to spend tonight doing PvP" Ok, you could. But you wont have much success and the skill component only plays a minor role. Because not everyone starts at the same level playing field.

I imagine something similar to competitive Pokémon where all Pokémon are set to level 50 no matter their actual stats

Good teaming with you for a Soul Wars match earlier today! Funnily enough I played my first castle Wars games since 06ish just a few days ago to get gear for my 45 combat 1 def 1 pray gold farmer slayer. Noticed tons of people just afking upstairs on their respective sides so I brought black chins to throw on the afk piles of players. Would rush and do this over and over again only to get dropped by a protector or people actually playing.

I feel like some way to help the sabotaged team is to implement an “average combat level” meter in the game. Example: you have 10 level 100s and 10 level 126s, all 126s cannot join the same team for the sake that there would be a 26 average level difference and the game has the ability to swap your team regardless of choice to average them out at 113 for each team. No it’s not a perfect fix but it’s a start up idea for a potential solution? Maybe you guys agree and can get this info to someone more popular than I

They should add activity bar like soul wars. Setting cades will not active the bar but blowing cades does, so that AFKer and sabotage will be kicked out of the game when active bar runs out. And also rocking your teammates will not make your activity bar actived but rocking enemy does. This will helps destroy sabotages and also afkers on 3rd floor at the same time

Here’s the fix: 1) Account life minimum + Activity. Make it so you can’t camp the flag all game. 2) Make it a bannable offense to intentionally sabotage clan wars. Tying this with account life minimum makes Sab accounts a hassle. The bannability means you won’t risk an actual alt. 3) Restrict barricades to the area with the most traffic.

Played Castle wars since pretty much it came out, i love the strategy involved and the 'few' good games left that make it worth the time spending after all its a game and you play what you like most, for me thats minigames. The latest problems on cw right now is the max mage barrage teams that use alt accounts to fill mostly saradomin team while stacking zamorak team it involves no strategy and makes the minigame completely braindead after all it makes no sense why those kind of teams don't find a world on their own. Next to this only a hand full of cheat clients is left wich is not a big impact but stil unfair. From all my time playing i could name every daily cw player active and gone and know exactly wich one is either destroying or saving the game, tipping those off doesnt help because the most active ones buy or train accounts again. i thought long about solutions to make it better but not perfect... like barricades last only 15/30seconds wich solves part of sabotage. also protect from magic should half the binding/freezing duration inside cw and sw. adding an active timer works only if the rewards are improved even after the lastest changes. For pures it should be easier to get important key items for pking making pking slightly more active and overall caslte wars bracelets should be a reward option in shop and maybe even an unlock with dairy journal. Hoping to see some great games soon feel free to ask me more!

I used to play f2p castle wars, 6 to 8 accs, in the f2p world, I'll have 1 or 2 accs that actually need the tickets and whatever team the account gets on will win, I'll purposely make my alts on the other team lose, either by using barricades at the right time to block and screw over the team I want to lose or just rush using my highest lvl alt. Farming castle wars tickets is actually pretty easy when you control the game.

The easiest and definitie fix is making team balance based on combat levels on each team. Say its 20v20 and the avg combat level of one team is 100 and the other is 85, then obviously the team with average combat of 100 will win, every time. And also the inactivity timer. Sure people dont want it, because they dont want to play castle wars. The people who wants to play castle wars want the inactivity timer, while people who are uninterested in playing the game, and just want to AFk do not want the inactivity timer. And to be frank, those people have no business being there. They can just go afk at GE.

'Balancing around combat level doesnt work at all. Ever heard of pures? RS PvP is inherently broken, because "normal" main accounts cant just join in. A mid level main acount, sitting at like 90 combat cant dont anything worth while in PvP. Either you get crushed by pures your combat because the damage scaling is weird or get messed up by maxed mains. You cant just go and say "hey, this weekend i just wanna enjoy some PvP to take a break from the skilling grind." And as long as this issue isnt solved, PvP will be forever dead

Why not to solve the alt problem instead of having a portal for each team. Just have 1 portal that chooses the team for u and after that if u leave to try and do it again u would have to wait till the next game to play. That will help with the bot stacking on teams

The constant argument from OSRS players of "It's going to ruin/change the meta!" is a huge barrier and holds back a lot of improvement to the game. If a game, skill or boss is easily exploitable the way it currently (like Wildy boss safespots) then for the integrity and improvement of the general game it should be changed. IDK why or how people argue a piece of game content should stay bad because that's the way it was put into the game. If you solve the first problem of flooding with afkers, the you also helps the second problem of barricades. If someone get reported and banned for bad use of barricades, then it wouldn't be so easy to make a new account since it has requirements to play the game. The problem with that is to tell wether or not someone is doing bad use of barricades on purpose or because they're just learning the mini-game, theres no way to do that without inneficient case by case check I think the only "good" solution would be change the mechanics of barricades
