It is good to see the Corps is recovering from the Pandemic. You guys have become very important to me, for reasons I cannot totally explain. Surely, I admire your discipline, devotion and musical talents; but it goes beyond that. Perhaps I'm just jealous, for there was certainly No such a youth group where I grew up! In any case, Growth and Health to you all and to WIlliamsburg.

Original title was called Black Baird, which got mispronounced to Black Bere which at the time people thought the Scottish pronunciation Bere meant Bear and the mispronounced word stuck and has been called Bear ever since...

@@michaelflower6172 Interesting and very useful information for I have seen some scottish pipe bands playing it, of course without the detail of shouting in between the melodic and drums lines. Do you have any other detail about it? i am curious about the historical source, what do the band shout, and what not. Thanks for your answer
