PB - 1. Have you heard anything about Airstreams future plans, specifically are they considering making a deeper floor model w increased tank storage? 2. I’ve noticed there’s more roof room to add more solar panels, and I’m curious if it was also possible to expand the number of batteries to increase the total amp hours? 3. Would you consider a video on Airstream towing 101, what vehicles might work or work better. Specifically I have two SUV’s w/ towing cap’s of 5k-7500 lbs respectively, however both are 6-CYL. (Yes, I’m aware this particular unit is over my towing cap., I’d have to but a new PU truck.) I know that’d work for your single axel smaller units... just not sure if I’d be crazy to actually do that for an extended time. I guess what I’m saying is a video that might give examples of what vehicles you could tow with x or y, but z is really recommended... would be greatly appreciated. 😎

Amazing tutorial of this Airstream, Patrick, as always! I've seen many of your videos in the past year or so, as you are so thorough, and I get the strong impression Airstreams are built extremely well. Hubby & I saw some models at our local RV show about 3 weeks ago. Airstream is awesome and in my opinion these RV's seem to be the best in the industry as far as I am concerned! I hope to own one, one day! BTW: Do you yourself own one? Like I say, your detailed description of each model is second to none because they build to high quality standards and non-assembly line. Like your haircut very much, by the way!

I've a 2010, new old stock from 2011. The trailer it replaced had a selectable dual power water heater. I near dropped my jaw finding out Airstream didn't have such. Plugged in, water hook up, but propane is still a commodity, a dual power option was sweet heating water with electric. ~ Any news on Airstream going with a dual power water heater...even a conversion kit? Sounds silly, but some days with that there outside shower we'd take 2-3 showers a day, and propane is a weak link.

Brian, The Gas/Electric water heater was standard in mid 2011 production on many models. There are after market kits you can add electric to yours.

I have discovered one good reason why I would not buy an Air Stream unless they changed their design layout just a smidge. Tell me why on most of your models you do not have a second door or fire exit? Really bad thing to overlook especially if you are selling a bunk house style model. The windows if using as a emergency exit should be big enough for a person to actually fit thru. The rear bunk model should have a exit door.simply because kids panic and would not always be clear headed enough to think to go out a window especially; if a fire occurred in the middle of the night. Nobody wants to see their kids/teens become instant BBQ!
