This, like many CH songs, is an onion in the best way. I start with the anthem vibe layer and each listen I realize I’m tuning in more and more to the other layers and depth of the song’s content. Love the way y’all draw people into music in that way. Can’t wait to see this live in Mpls. 🎉

This song follows the same themes of difficult and depressing times but there always being hope. The pain is there and it is acknowledged but not the end. I have never seen a band with an overarching theme that is consistent and beautiful. The idea of leaving what is lost, admitting the hurt, and using the Lord to move past it. Thank you Colony House, your music has done so much for me in terms of mental health!

The band posted on instagram: ''TRACK 5...This was the last song written and recorded on the album. It came in the 11th hour as they say. It felt undeniable, like it belonged on the project from the get go. Some songs you toil with and others feel like they have always been there just waiting to be excavated. “One of Those Days” is one of those songs :) It wrote itself so to speak. I feel strongly that everything has meaning, from the smallest interaction to a life altering event. My problem is that I always feel obligated to figure out the meaning myself. I don’t think we give ourselves enough grace to just live in that moment of uncertainty. We all have those days where you don’t want to get out of bed, or on the other hand, you can’t fall asleep. We all have those days where you can’t get your act together and everything seems to be going wrong. Excellent music video. Great use of location, and the production design to really applies the theme of the music. Only two big complaint I have about the video itself are. 1. The quality of several of the shots. It could be from inferior lens, lower quality sensor, or even a GoPro, it takes away from the overall look of the footage. 2. When Caleb is actually singing the lyrics during portions of the video, his facial expression, energy and emotion do not seem to match that of the music. So it doesn't may me as an audience member feel like his singing from the top of a bed rolling down the street is actually what I am listening to. (Great imagery by the way.) All in all video and production.

It's also possible that the editing process may have prioritized certain shots or moments over others, leading to a disjointed feeling in some parts of the video. Overall, it's important to appreciate the artistic choices and efforts put into creating a music video, while acknowledging that there may be areas for improvement. I think that the point you made about the bed is to be considered, but perhaps the grain represents a fuzzy mind or scattered point of view that Caleb has? I don't know. All in all video and production are great.

As creatives, some of our artistic choices are seen as flaws, while at other times, some of our mistakes seem like strokes of genius. It all comes down to perspective. From my perspective, those were flaws that, if addressed in future works, would add to the value of the creator's content. However, unlike what people seem to think, having a final product that has things that are not perfect, or flaws, isn't a terrible thing. We are creators, constantly growing, learning, and striving to improve our craft. As iron sharpens iron, that is how two creatives sharpen each other. I learned some stuff from watching this video. I was hoping to do the same for those who created this video. Not that my opinion really matters, but Great job in creating this!
