I'm thinking of using SW 7007 Bright White Ceiling on the exterior, that should be the main color, I want white, yes, white! But I need a contrast on a wall that has a volume towards the inside (dark volume on the façade that stands out in the design) , it's a side wall that is part of the facade. I thought about SW6258 Tricorn Black, I asked for a sample and it's very black, then I thought about SW7674 Peppercorn, I also asked for a sample and it's very light, so now I'm thinking about SW7020 Black Fox, with so many samples I'm running out of budget LOL, maybe that combination is ok? The wall is 10% of the total to be painted, maybe it's about 2.4 x 3.0 meters. Thanks for your time and your videos!

I need your help. I need to paint the exterior of my house. I have stucco with a terracotta roof. I definitely want the body white not too white. Not sure what color to choose for the fascia/gutters/garage door/trim and shutters around my windows. Any suggestions?

Hi there! How much of a contrast do you want between your main house color and trim color? Are you wanting the trim to "pop" against the 'white-ish' color? Or be more of a subtle difference? And what surrounds the house? Lots of grass? Any trees? And lastly- what finish is your exterior hardware (lighting, door handles, etc.)?

@@crawfordstreetdesigns I want my shutters to pop more than the trim. I was thinking of black fox on the shutters, maybe cornwell slate on the trim and white duck on the body, My front yard is small I have grass and one tree. My front door is stained dark brown leaving the door as is

Good morning, I enjoyed this information in this video! I am currently trying to decide on an exterior paint for my house. I am going from Dark to Light. I am thinking of going with Shoji White (SW) for the base and Folkstone (SW) for the trim...with Black Fox or Urbane Bronze for the Front Door/Garage Door. My house faces East which gets a lot of natural light for the majority of the day. My roof has multiple colors.I can't think of the name of it...but it's a type of terracotta..I can send pics. Front Yard is pretty huge with lots of grass and trees. Wondering what your suggestions might be with what I have in mind. Light Fixtures are black. I do not have gutters or shutters

A friend suggested this color and sw 7936 accessible beige for my house the fox for trim and windows and sofits what do u think. I have a terracotta color shingle roof 8

I think the warmth in Brown Fox will play very well with your terracotta roof while still "toning down' the boldness of the 'red'. Accessible Beige is a great compliment to both of those! Well done to your friend!

Hi I have White Duck exterior with brown ledge stone on the front. Front is also north facing. Thinking of doing the trim in Black Fox. Roof is light tans and Browns. Do you think this color is a good choice for trim and gutters?

Yes, Black Fox looks very sharp as a trim/gutter color... it plays well in a "linear" format! However, it does have a lot of "charcoal" to it... so while it will definitely pick up on the browns from your roof and stone... it will appear deep gray/black on the house... especially contrasting to White Duck! Which is a fantastic color approach- just want to make sure you're expecting "black" more than "brown"! :)

@@TheChrismarinucci Griffin would definitely end up a lot 'lighter' than something like Black Fox would. There are some really great browns in the "Designer Collection" of SW, like "Tungsten". *Technically, the paint base that they mix the Designer Collection into is made specifically for these more "elevated" colors, and they tend to be a little bit more expensive than the regular colors- but if you're really needing something specific that looks 'elegant'- it's a great option. Some other "regular" SW colors you might want to look at are: Oak Leaf Brown, Status Bronze and Enduring Bronze. Hi! It's actually a color that was painted before we moved into the space! In fact, it's one of the main reasons we knew it was the 'one' for us as our old space also had a black accent wall! Its color is most true to Iron Ore or Tricorn Black. *Matte (not flat! and not satin!) finish.

Great explanations w paints. Glad I found u a few weeks ago. Deciding for exterior gutters black fox or urbane bronze. Florida ranch stucco home. Main color will be shoji white SW. with extra white for columns and trim. Cream on white combo. not sure if down spouts should be the same color of house or use the (fox or urbane. What ever we choose) No shutters on house. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Have a great and safe weekend.

Sounds dreamy! Since you're in FL- I'd say go with Urbane Bronze... it's got a little more "something" when the light hits it. Plus, Black Fox tends to pull nicely with larger trees, hardwoods, etc.... whereas the UB will give the same warm black effect but not so much of a "woodsy" vibe. Are your downspouts pretty evenly spaced? Will you have a deeper color anywhere else on the house (lighting, potted plants, front door, etc)? And also- is your roof dark too?!

@@crawfordstreetdesigns so sweet to respond. We live outside Tampa on 2 acres w huge pine trees all around house and lots of green plants that the deer don’t like. So no fresh flowers. Ha front door will be stained wood medium brown. Dark lights and front pendants… color pending now kinda bronze they Need replacing. Roof is dark dimensional shingles. As far as gutters yeah pretty even spaced around house. We r having new pool area w shell stone pavers w new pool enclosure that is entire back of house huge color will be that blackish color not white. I’m sure u r familiar. There ya have it. @@crawfordstreetdesigns Lawdy I just spent 5 min typing and hit delete! So sweet of u to take the time. We live outside Tampa on about 3 acres surrounded by tall pine trees lots of green no flowers because the deer eat everything. The entire back of the house is a pool patio area we are having nee shell stone pavers installed that are light ivory color as well as a new screen enclosure. We chose the dark screen enclosure not the white. So that’s why we wanted to go with something different than black on the gutters closer to the brownish/bronze the color of the enclosure. I’m sure you have seen them. Front door will be a medium/dark stain not sure yet color suggestions welcome. current lights around the outside perimeter are a bronze color. Will be replacing them. dimensional lux dark shingle roof. gutters are on corners all around house. Addition added w 2nd 2 car garage that are med wood color. The other 3 garages are same color of house. Was going to leave the 3 car same as body of house color. Unless ya think diff. Thank u very much for taking your time and responding. @@crawfordstreetdesigns omg I just saw your reply. We got a sample of the pool cage and it is closer to iron ore SW so we decided on that. He wants to do the down spout in it. I don’t… it’s his house. Lol as he says it’s only paint if doesn’t look good they can re paint them to house color. Painters coming Monday to prep. I will send pics. Thank us again.
