Henna & indigo if mixed together don't color the hair black. It's a sheer waste of time. Henna has to be applied first & left for at least 1hr, then washed. Indigo has to be applied after that & left for at least 2-3hrs. Even after so much effort, the black/dark brown color stays for only a week but it's a good option for those who want to avoid chemical colors completely.

You are wrong regular application will make the hair turn dark brown. Please do not shampoo after application leave for 48 hours for the colour to enhance. Apply oil and shampoo after 48 hrs. Thanku

Looks good I too use Henna for colouring my hair and yes my scalp is very dry so I use rice water with rosemary oil and couple of drops of tea tree oil as a conditioner. Works for me.

In the morning I strain the water in a little jug, add few drops of rosemary oil and couple of drops of tea tree oil. Mix it well and put in a spray bottle. Shake the bottle well before using….

@@archu2020 I mix black seed oil with castor oil, slightly warm it up, and apply it to my scalp and hair. I then wrap my hair with a satin hair wrap or bonnet and leave it on overnight.

@@archu2020 My hair is similar to yours. I have been trying this and it works : So I use fenugreek brewed in hot water and kept aside overnight. Strain the water, add a few drops of lavender oil and rosemary oil to this. Use this water every-night before going to bed on your scalp. My hair is much smoother now. at Also use the water soon. It can stink after a period of time. I generally make a very tiny batch and use it over the week.

Depends on where you live. You can find it on Amazon for one. It should be a good quality henna and indigo. If you are covering grays then only apply as much as you need. Start with all the hair. Then when gray grows back just cover the root area. Every few months you can refresh all over as needed Similar to a chemical hair dye to cover gray. Sometimes when you first start to use henna you might have to cover the whole head again after a month. Some grays are resistant. Then after do just your roots. Everyone is different. Quality matters as well.

@LITTLEDIY Can you please advise me how to colour my hair using henna to cover my grey hair? I tried twice using d one i bought in Amazon but not working. Firstly i follow instructions how to mix n use it. Most of my hair turned orange. Secondly i mixed henna with brewed coffee. It turned most hair to dark pink. i wish there was something else that could color the hair naturally... cause i personnally hate henna : - it's super messy and time-consuming - the smell is horrible and lingers on the hair for weeks, and reminds me of grandmas - it only gives red and red highlights - when mixed with indigo to get dark tones, the color fades immediately, like the next day, and leaves the red henna color behind - it takes forever to rinse out, and it leaks in the water at every wash!! even when using just conditioner - it doesn't provide a way to make hair lighter or go blonde
