Awesome video! Trying to wrap my head all around this and will definitely be starting out on a more simple image before jumping into something way more complex 🤣

Hey, just got into hueforge and your videos helped me understand it really well. Can't use the 0.8.0 beta yet unfortunately, but getting the hang of editing pictures and using color aware now. Really cool to actually understand what im doing now ^^. Is there any info on when 0.8.0 will be going live ? Keep it up man

Weve got 3Dprinttopia at the end of this month so the whole team is gearing up for that right now. Sometime in October or November if all goes well. Theres also the option to purchase the Thangs membership for $10 a month and youll get access to the commercial tier. Its so people have a way to see if they can sell stuff without paying the lifetime costs upfront, but has the added benefit of betas. I appreciate the kind words. Im trying to help out the brand new people so they dont get frustrated and never try it again

@@NeoKoiPrints Damn thats a great tip with the thangs membership, defintely gonna try that. Your videos help the beginners for sure! Good luck with the printtopia coming up!

Nice video, is there any potential to move your (cam) video to another location so we can see the slider changes you're making, or maybe scale the main video so the sliders are visible?
@NeoKoiPrints2 ай бұрын
For sure. It was an oversight for this video, all of my others dont have a face cam throughout. You can still see what layer my filaments are going to via the color core. They show the same thing

Good morning, I have a question about HueForge and hope you can help. I want to do a photo of my grand daughter and I have tried many times and it seem like it's not working out for me. I would like to know if You have any suggestions that could help me out? I would appreciate it. I want to make these memories for my granddaughter. and I was driving me crazy. Please help me.

Skin tones are a pain in the butt, light to dark, it doesnt matter they’re difficult to do. Ive done quite a few memory projects for family and will typically do grey scale (black, grey, mid-high td white) with an accent color (school colors or the persons favorite color) in standard mode

So I'm new to hueforge in general and learning. I was working with color match and got to something I liked and wanted to test print. Went to slice it and it looked nothing like the hueforge coloring I settled on. I'm confused on what I did wrong, if it's the mesh or the depth. Any ideas?
@NeoKoiPrints2 ай бұрын
In hueforge, use middle mouse click on your project. Itll show you the “slicer view” If the slicer looked like hueforge, you would t need the software
@mikelowry47382 ай бұрын
@@NeoKoiPrints Ah ok thank you. Is there a way to hold it there on the slicer view so I can work on it? I figured the color core was what you'd get. Now I'm confused on what's the point of having that and not the slicer view lol. Quick Edit: I think I've realized using color match is pretty hard using only 4 colors so I had to jump to 6. Thanks to your tips I was able to go between editing the image and the Hueforge to get something close to what I'm happy with. Thank you gain.
@NeoKoiPrints2 ай бұрын
@mikelowry4738 Slicer view is just to help you double check your work. If slicer view matches what your slicer looks like, you know youre good to print. Otherwise something is messed up somewhere. Its not what you want to work in. Hueforge’s whole job is to show you how your filaments will blend at different layer heights. People were doing all of this guess work in the slicer before hueforge and it is such a pain because you dont know how the outcome will truly look

Anyone know of a way to chop up a hueforge to make it huge? I want to make it look as seamless as possible.
@NeoKoiPrints2 ай бұрын
You can cut it up in the slicer at a 45 degree angle

It would really be helpful to see the actual sliders rather then your face!

It was an oversight for this video, but you can watch the color core in the center to see whats going on with the sliders too
