okay so i match the right color and then i paint it on but then when i flip the glass around the color is desaturated compared to the side i painted on. do you know why?? also this mostly only happens with skintones. thank you in advance 😩🙏

Yes this is so helpful!! I've been struggling with skintones so much, they always come out darker than I think when I'm mixing them, or too orange in the end! Love the tip of using an extra piece of glass to test colors on first. Don't know why I never thought of that!!

Thank you! I'm glad a tip was helpful! Another thing I didn't get to add in this video is adding a little bit of purple gradually... this helps balancing out the strong tones! 🙌🏼

Hey so Ive been doing glass paintings for over a month now and I have been using the Oil based sharpie and the Artistro Water based extra fine paint pen. If I may also add: write down the mixes as you make them. Write down the ratios/percentage, brand, pigment, etc. any and all info that went into that mixture. One brand's pigment for Payne's Grey may not match another brand's pigment for Payne's Grey for example or even their idea of what PY07 is. I have made the mistake many times of experimenting and changing mixtures only to realize the mixture I made 10 mixes prior is best and by then I didn't know how to get it anymore. In all honesty though, this suggestion comes from my experience with watercolor, so idk how different this might be with acrylics, but I know it's something that has helped me and something I definitely plan to apply across other mediums.

Hi i have a question 😬 when i have to take reference from the anime sometimes that scene is a night scene so all the colors are bit darker than the original so can you tell me how to get the accurate color for it 🙏🏼

Hi there, I talked about that on 3:45 of this video! 😄What you just need is an app that could control Temperature (warm/cool) and Brightness. If you’re using an iPhone you should have one already 👍🏼 And what you do is you just bump the temperature warmer and add a little brightness if needed. If you wanna make it more accurate, what you could do is follow the outline of the “night” photo BUT instead of looking at the “night” photo for colours, just reference a “day”/normal photo (this could be a different scene) and follow that instead when painting!

hi lyka! I don't know if you still doing glass painting, but I have a feeling that you can help with my problem. when I make shadows, I always wait for it to dry completely. only then i paint with the main color. but sometimes the main color comes through the shadows. I always apply thick layers and it still happens

in one of her videos she mentioned that if we are done painting one layer then let it dry first and then use a torch light from back and see whether there are left in gaps or no . if you fill all the gaps then i dont thinl so there will be any chance for the main color to be seen .
