It's amazing back then the ages a child could get married legally and it's cruel and vile how men like these used the innocent. My great grandmother was married at 13 she lived to be 95 years old no child is ready for marriage that young..

I heard a fellow talk about what life was like when he was growing up. He said that back then you just didn’t question why you did things - and that was in the 70’s! You can imagine how it was before then.

Alot of this went on back then, if the father consented and im sure mister payed him, there weren't many laws for kids and women back in that day according to my grandmother and people who lived it,

For all the people in the comment section thinking this type of ish was Normal well it wasn’t Like with any culture there are vile men that exist but this movie created a divide in our community where now black men are seen as nothing more than creeps molester and rapist when that’s definitely not the case The only way to destroy this image of black men is do 2 things 1. The mothers that know they have a creep around their daughter or daughters need to step up and remove that man and stop thinking about her own loneliness and put her daughters 1 1st 2. For the men of our communities to upon hearing about such man see to it that he never touches or violates any other child again BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY
@JohnDoe-ie3rs2 жыл бұрын
This was normal jackass, my aunty married at 14 to a man who was 22. Very normal. You use to white man laws. God's laws you won't find no age of consent jackass. Show me in the Bible.
@marcopl172 жыл бұрын
Sorry bro but this was far more normal than you think,, particularly in rural communities. It wasn't just black people, it was every one. This still happens in many, many cultures across the world. It wasn't considered morally reprehensible then. Our society has matured and changed. But back then it was completely and totally normal behavior. This is how men have treated women through the ages. They were property. They had no rights. They weren't equal. Read history. Look around the world today. Only our sensibilities have changed.
