Nathan MacKinnon's wonder goal in game 5 may not have counted for a win there but holy hell it counted for so much more in game 6. The way the whole team and especially the 3rd and 4th lines responded to that individual effort and came back to win it at the end was just sensational. The Oilers are gonna be a good challenge but honestly, I think St. Louis was a tougher opponent.

The Avs blowing that lead had me feeling as deflated as I had each time they lost the series the last few years. That MacKinnon goal was so absurd that I was positive they were going to win because of it.

I still don't see why Toews goal in game 4 is Unassisted. Landeskog stole the puck and 'on purpose' passes the puck towards Toews after getting the steal. That should be an assist. What am I missing there?

If you look at it in slow mo, Landeskog steals the puck but then Rosen from the blues actually steals it back and inadvertently passes it to Toews, hence the unassisted. Pause at 7:04 and you can see Rosen hit the puck to Toews

I still remember being at soccer as a 10 year old and finding out the Avs lost something like 7-0 in game 7 to the Wings in the WCF, I was devastated. The game 6 "Statue of Liberty goal" still bugs me to this day. But the 20 years of heartbreak could easily be forgotten. 8 down, 8 to go. Come on boys, make us proud!!!

Not really one was intentional and the other not..... crazy the league was ok with that hit on girard though.... dude saw his numbers the whole way and the force of the impact was from behind... there will be others of the same play with a suspension watch....
