I am going to put this out across the CU content creator’s platforms because lately we have been hearing they are getting too many DB's and WR's and the people saying this and getting the thumps up like button or people who have no clue about football. DB = CB 2x, FS 1x. SS 1x, Nickel 1x: 3 deep at each position CB x 2 going 3 deep = 6, FS = 3, SS = 3, Nickel = 3 total DB needed = 15 Total Inside LB needed 3 deep = 3, Total outside LB needed 3 deep = 3, Total needed = 6 Total DE right side 3 deep = 3, Total DE left side 3 deep = 3. Total needed = 6 Total DT Right side 3 deep = 3, Total DT Left 3 deep = 3 Total need = 6 DB = 15 DT = 6 DE =6 LB = 6 Most team go 4 deep with 4 being the practice squad: DB = 20, DT = 8, DE = 8, LB =8 44 Defensive players needed with the DB room being the largest. So can we please stop the nonsense about too many DB’s coming in. The reverse is the same on the offense with the WR room 4 positions time 3 = 12 when you add the 5th WR with no TE line up you need 15 to go 3 deep. 20 to go 4 deep. The DB and WR rooms are your largest position groups.

i am 100% certain that the coaching staff is happier this year with the defensive line than they were last year at this same time. they have depth and some aggressive edge rushers. Shilo said in spring practice that a great D-line will make his job easier. but just in case, they went out and got another hard-hitting safety because Shilo has the last line of defense because we could not stop the run at all last year. this is a "makes sense" pickup. on defense, i see them now as a "can compete with anyone in the Big 12" team. if they were to add 1 or 2 more 300-pound D-linemen, then they would get elevated to "can dominate some games" status. as much as i want to see Travis, Shedeur and O Miller go crazy on offense, i really want to see the defense cook this year.
