Get used to the climbing. It’s warm the elk are up high in the tundra till the snow comes

That’s where they are up on the mesa here in western Colorado. Most years if it’s warm you can guarantee they are high in the alpine tundra. They take advantage of the altitude while they can. Could be totally wrong tho 😂

Great vid! Congrats on your first hunt connor. You will always remember that trip and you are off to a great start. You are lucky to have friends to take you under their wing. Take your hunters ed so you can have the option to hunt as well next year if you choose. There is great hog hunting in tx. Would also recommend carrying a side arm (glock 20 is a good choice) when out there and just as important as noise is always be aware of the thermals and wind. Keep getting out there and you will get one when the time is right. Ive hunted a ton the past few years and now its more about the experience of being out there than always having to kill an animal. You guys had an amazing and successful hunt! Your xfit will definitely pay dividends when you are packing out that elk next time. Glad to see you doin well brotha!

The more I look back on the trip, the greater appreciation I have for each moment we were out there. Beautiful from start to finish, taking in God's beautiful creation. Funny enough, I have been watching a ton of hunting content as of late, and taking in all the tips and tricks. We will definitely be out there are next year.
