For your information, Colorado was in all of the games with the exception of the two games that they were blown out. Therefore improving the line play could have certainly changed the outcome. I can guarantee you that a full off-season under Pro coaching will be eye opening. Coach has continually talked about improving the depth, having pieces that can step in and contribute immediately is his focus. The 3, 4, and 5 star status means nothing in college and eventually the PRO’s. The issue with all society today is that these kids feel that they’re the Chosen one’s, and they’re not accountable. Sanders is projecting. The question asked was: what position guys are you looking for in the portal? It’s a simple question that every HC, coordinator and position coach has been asked since the portal opened and he could have answered it easily and moved on to the next question without making it bigger than it needed to be. His response was defensive- to have faith in him and the guys lost weren’t starters thus not important. The question was simple but he didn’t hear that- what he heard was instead his fear of what the world might be thinking about losing key players in the portal and his ability to be the HC. He does this alot at his pressers with simple questions; more experienced HC’s are equipped to handle these reporters without getting into their feelings. That said, his pressers are entertaining & at times dramatic, which he and he alone ultimately creates.

Brantley was not going to start; so he hit the portal. Colorado lacked talent on the offensive line and defensive line last year. Depth was not the problem; starters were. These players today want to start, and because of the portal they take what they believe is the right choice. Colorado was undersized last year on the offensive line. Currently, the likely starting offensive linemen are: Seaton 6'6" 300lbs, Brown 6'3 320lbs, Benson 6'6" 325lbs, Johnson 6'5" 325lbs, Mayors 6'4" 320lbs. The Colorado roster is being upgraded from last year. Stay tuned!

the problem with this is they have to add MUCH MORE than 17. You guys compare Colorado replacing transfers out with in like its a top 10 team doing it. There is a difference between the good teams and Colorado and that is that the good teams are ALL bringing in TOP HIGH SCHOOL RECRUITING CLASSES. Colorado is not doing this. There just aren't that many good players in the portal to completely build the program without adding the blue chip high school talent. Even other NOT good teams are ahead of Colorado. Such as Miami. They 6,7,8 or so guys in the portal so far. Ok lets compare them to Colorado. Miami is leading for two of the top 10 portal transfers so they should be able to at least replace their 7 guys going out if not even get better players to replace them. Colorado isn't leading for a ton of these top tier portal guys. But lets say that turns around and Colorado does replace all these 17. They also have like the 70th ranked High School recruiting class. Not even close to a top program. This is MAJOR flaw. I say all this and I hate Miami. I think Cristobol overrated as hell. But compare this to a team like Colorado. This is mediocre Miami with mediocre coach let alone the top teams that will be in next year playoffs. Georgia Ohio Bama Texas FSU Notre Dame etc

Even the best teams dont do this. you need a certain amount of depth and roster stability to compete. Sorry to say but I will criticize because his way is wrong. "doing it your own way" is fine if it works. but this will never work. It might get them to a "good" level a borderline top 25 team, but they wont be making the playoffs like this. Also they will have trouble recruiting QBs once Sheddeur left. Deion isn't QB coach and good QB coach isn't going to want to work for team that dont have pipeline of high school QBs to develop and good transfer QBs wont want to go to a school like Colorado who wont have a great veteran roster, wont have a great QB coach and who isn't a "blue blood team". They will easily get beat out for top QBs by the real contenders teams like Notre Dame and Florida State. I really like Sheduer and think he is great player at QB but a real contending team would have a bunch of good QBs to build with moving forward. Colorado gonna be in alot of trouble.

@@natestyron4830 Colorado was ranked like 70th in High school recruiting. That is NOWHERE NEAR GOOD ENOUGH. If you sign 25 players and have a class ranked 20th or whatever I can get behind saying portal can upgrade that 20th ranked roster to a top 10 or 5 roster because you are winning in the portal. HOWEVER when you have ranked 70-80 high school recruiting classes that is TERRIBLE for the "base" of your roster. That is why Colorado will NEVER have depth with prime as coach which is big problem. If you signed the top 20 guys in the portal and started them next year that would be a good team but nowhere near a championship level team, because only so many "great" players enter the portal. Alot of good or solid guys enter and a very few great players. Deion whole way of building his roster is fucked. Sorry to break it to you but it wont work. I was riding high supporting prime, and still wish him the best. But this year high school recruiting exposed him, he will never build a championship team with this strategy. Maybe one day he will win 8 or 9 games in the 3rd best conference. I dont even think this style of roster building will lead to playoffs. He is also VERY lucky that his QB is his son. Because this type of recruiting without ever bringing in great High School QBs will be a big problem too. This is mitigated that his son is there now and is loyal to him and is very good QB. What happens when he is gone after next season. Say they bring in a good portal QB like DJ Uwiungali or Riley Leonard or Cam Ward, is that guy going to elevate the 30th best roster in the sport to a championship? No they wont. And why would they even want to go to Colorado when they can go to Florida State or Notre Dame, blue blood top 10 teams with top 10 rosters and more money than Colorado too. Deion is a DB he is not a QB guru so even getting guys like this will be tough. They will struggle really hard to ever field a top 25 QB with this type of roster building.

I love the channel, but as a lifelong fan no one cared when we went 1-11 with Karl Dorrell. The spotlight Deion gives us is nice but at the same time a process is just that a PROCESS! Portal or no portal if we progress each year what are we worried about. We’re by no means a Georgia or Alabama. We’re heightened in the nations eyes but at the end of the day CU will be where we need to be with or without Deion.

So the portal opened Monday, you expect a college player to interview and take visits in 4 days and commit to Colorado that quickly? That's wild. Its of course going to take longer for players to commit than to leave. I see a lot of false supporters, I support Deion, Travis, and some others. I followed Travis since High School with his Deestroying videos. Naturally when he joined the SWAC I followed Deion. The one thing I notice is that people hate Prime if he's losing and even more when he is on top, but man that bandwagon starts to fill when he goes without loses.

The vast majority of these players transferred in or were freshmen recruits last year and never made an impact. Most of last years transfers were the leftovers from the portal and the 27 transfers this year are much better. Colorado should be able to grab a few more impact players in the Spring portal.

People hating on CU and Coach Prime are just hating. CU 2024 coaching staff has some great coaches who are teaching and developing the players to reach their full potential. Coaches can't develop a player if they (players) don't attend practices, meetings, or persistently maintain a poor work ethic. Bottomline, Coach Prime formerly known as Neon-Deion Sanders has always had haters and haters going to hate. Coach Prime recently stated he needs a few more LBs, DTs, and one OL guys. Also, CU has a few skill players still on the way to top out the CU roster for the 2024 campaign. Once CU start winning 9. 10, or 11 games, what will be people argument about CU program next? Let me guess, they're going to hate and say some offhand comment, they didn't win the right way.

The culture problem is the portal, Colorado is a symptom. Deion recruited all these guys or they came there thinking he'd get them to the NFL. They are like free agents that can move whenever they want thanks to the portal. If they don't get a starting spot from Deion, they can move right along. Every team will have clear starters just because of whobthey are, so that's just not a Deion thing. If bench players are leaving it sounds like they're not going to ne given the opportunity to prove their metal. Great coaches don't just guarantee starts, unless a player has themselves and keep proving themselves for the starting role. Seems like Deion eliminated the competition aspect of who gets the starting role.
