My dad, my uncles many other people, friends and family was involved in this construction. The first bucket of concrete was poured when I was six months old. The lake started filling up when I was four years old. I seen that lake start from the beginning's, just as I was starting from the beginning of my life. This damn this lake I truly feel part of it. It brought water to a dry Southwest it brought life to many families gave jobs to thousands of families and it still provides employment to hundreds. What a Time to be alive what an amazing accomplishment that a federal government can achieve when they truly believe and work together to do it. I don't think a project like this could ever happen again in today's government. We have regulated ourselves to death. The dam still stands it provides power and water to millions of people.

Nearly all the "gravel" in the Glen Canyon dam is dinosaur fossils from Big Water. Kane county gravels the roads with them.

Impressive, but an abomination. And I’m not some goddam environmentalist weirdo.
