This game was crazy. Thanks for sharing the highlights! This is the first year I've been able to watch this. It's probably the same for many because of ESPN+, though, to be fair.

Thanks VV What is scary is Ferris averaged 216 rush yards per game really had no apex group running back(s), true RB's Coby and Knighten gained 347 combined yards in 14 games. WR Marcus Taylor was a late addition to the RB duties as the injuries were mounting. Taylor could have probably rushed for over 1,000+ yards if he had been the primary running back from the start. Lost the starting QB Mitchell after game 1 with a lisfranc foot injury. Yet going forward in all the 3 backup QBs were able to bridge this with multi role effectiveness and willingness to share the responsibilities when called upon in different scenarios. Also big credit goes to this young offensive line that was clearing defenders off their marks at the point of attack. WR corps were all having injuries too during the year, losing X Wade early....lost Hunt-Thompson to recent suspension, still averaged 210 receiving yards per game. Several R/Freshman players were instrumental in filling new roles that were gold. Future wise only losing 2 or 3 starters from offense if Mitchell returns, (he should return by all reasonable expectations). Defense, pretty much set the tone for the season as the offense really had to find its groove with multiple ongoing adversities. Pass rush and edge pressure to the supreme hilt with 60 sacks and 71.9 rush yards allowed / 14 pts PPG allowed, opposing QBs were running for their lives in the pocket. The Ferris secondary was able to grab 16 interceptions and shut down opponents in the second half. ......Losing about 6 starters from this stellar defensive group, a lot of new faces for next years starting lineup.

Two national championships! Maybe Ferris State will think about putting the Michigan Wolverines on their schedule. If the Wolverines win their national championship!

@@davids9520 There are football scheduling issues now with Ferris State. Non conference universities in DII have wised up and do not want to play the Bulldogs anymore in football. So it is getting harder to find out these non-conference opponents in the Midwest region. Lenior-Rhyne stepped up to the plate with a two game contract, but really they probably are thinking of ending it after 2023 by getting manhandled back in September. U of Montana was recently added on the Ferris schedule for September 16th 2023. It will pay $175,000 for the contest and Ferris will have to travel to Missoula and avoid any costly injuries heading into GLIAC play. Before any one wonders there is no way Ferris will move into FCS football any time soon. So something has to be figured out fast.

They pretty much are, won it back to back years and was in it 2019. 8 straight years of 10+ wins, which is 4th in the country regardless of division. They have some crazy talent on the team

@@eddieleejoseph2998 - it’s a traditional Mines cheer that stretches back many decades that the crowd would chant whenever the other team scored a touchdown. Mines perennially had losing seasons so the alumni had fun with the facts. Another popular cheer (when Marv Kay was head coach was: “Give ‘em hell, Marv! “Give ‘em hell, Marv! “Hell… just give ‘em Marv.”

In FBS how many times have they gotten the Heisman wrong? In this case they chose John Matocha for the Harlan Hill trophy and he was shown up badly by Ferris States Mylik Mitchell. Matocha went 5 passes into the game before completing his first pass. In the course of the game he threw two interceptions. One for a pick six and one at the end of the game. Ferris uses multiple QB's but their best passer, Mylik Mitchell is an exceptional passer for this level of football. Numerous times you see him throw pin point passes while on a dead run. Most QB's have to plant their feet to throw accurately. I attended Ferris in the early 1970's and our teens though fun to watch never came close to the caliber these last few years!

What do you mean "so far?" Valiant has been doing this for years, better than any other highlight channel, in my opinion. There is a new small channel sharing all the FCS and lower games, though, that is doing a fantastic job with highlights as well.

Doesn’t work that way. FCS schools go the Big Dance in basketball, these schools have their own Tournament called the Elite 8
