World class sight fishing can not be had in Florida? I disagree. I believe Florida has the best sight fishing for a greater number of species than any other place in the world. What I think he meant to say is that he feels Louisiana has the best sight fishing for redfish. Nice video.

You are strongly wrong about that my dude. Some of the best sight fishing I do is here in Florida where I live

Love your films, you really catch that connection with all that surrounds you, pushing to achieve more knowledge, the emerson into the environment, the hunt, brilliant. You've inspired me to take up fly fishing, I'm a life long angler in salt snd freshwater in the UK. We don't quite have the 5 star species list that you guy's have in the US but my love of everything fishing, the environment and the experience is just as powerful. Keep up the love, tight lines

Hats off to you. That $1500 out of state guide license is too steep for most guides for only 5 weeks out there.

Maybe this was mentioned in the video, but what weight rod and line is Meredith using?
@coreytohme98613 жыл бұрын
I can't tell you what Meredith was using, but I can give you some insight. One can fish all year long with an 8wt. An 8wt is strong enough to land even the biggest of redfish if used properly. However, I tend to use a 7wt and 9wt more than anything. During the summer when the wind lays down and I'm throwing smaller, lighter flies a 7wt is an excellent choice. During the winter when fighting stiff winds and throwing heavy, bulky flies, I would rather a 9wt than an 8. That being said, I have a few friends that only fish an 8wt regardless of conditions and they can get it done.

The photography was great and I’m sure you are both fish well. But I was hoping to find info on techniques. Other than the bean bag drop I felt I was watching a travelogue-infomercial.
