Hey, Freddy! There are tangerine sapphires. (Pretty much any color in the rainbow. ) There are even black and brown ones. At about 4:47, I noticed the second one orange one from the end looks a lot like carnelian. August's other birthstone. But those very tangerine ones I think you might be correct on the corundum diagnosis. Are there triangle patterns and vugs? How about under a microscope?
