"COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing" Global Release Coming Soon

"Tell me more... about you. Maybe then... I will know how to sing."
Ichika Hoshino hears a song by Miku that she has never heard before at a music store. She finds a "Hatsune Miku," who she has never seen before in the TV screen, and says aloud "Miku!?". Although their eyes meet, Miku is startled by Ichika's voice and disappears.
Later, after Ichika finishes her street performance, Miku appears again in Ichika's smartphone. Ichika asks the sad looking Miku what is troubling her and finds out that there are people who Miku wants to deliver her song to, but no matter how much she sings, her voice won't reach them.
After seeing Ichika reach people's hearts with her song, Miku thinks that she can do the same by learning more about Ichika. Ichika smiles and agrees to help. Join Miku and her friends as a new story begins.

@@PavltheRobot you should play. it's great. in the game, alongside miku and the other vocaloids (labeled as "virtual singers"), there are 5 ensembles with their own stories of what led them to pursue their love for music; "more more jump", "leo/need", "vivid bad squad", wonderlandsxshowtime", and "nightcord at 2500". the true feelings each ensemble wished to share through music created a "sekai", which is like a pocket dimension where they meet with miku and the other vocaloids, in person, to bring their songs to life! the stories are amazing and the songs featured (originals, unit covers, and unit commissions) are super fun to play.

0:17 Interesting thing, this person seems to be a person aiming to be a manga artist (or is one) which makes me think of Miku's second anniversary colorfes card side story. In the side story default Miku visited a new sekai in which the feelings that dwelled in it was "the stress of deciding your future," or something along those lines. And the ones who created that sekai were likely a singer, manga artist, novel writer, and a painter(?). The only thing that makes me think that this could be a different sekai from the movie is that the sekai in the side story didn't look like that window sekai(0:22), and instead had a European/Medieval city type of look.

I realized it when I watched the in game live show for the second anniversary and Kanade only said Tsukasa sounded familiar rather than recognizing him even though the leaders had been to the Prime SEKAI (don’t know the actual name, that’s just what I call the SEKAI where the prime versions of the Vocaloids reside) before.

guys ive noticed something. as we go down the list of sekais in-game, they seem to get stranger. a school and a stage are normal, but then we get a labyrinth of streets and alleys, a childlike wonderland where nothing makes sense, and then an empty void. in this trailer, we see a new sekai (i think) with a kikuo style setting. what does this mean for the possibility of more sekais?

I never would have thought a movie would ever be made as Miku and her friends are volcaliods with no bios. It's up to the fans to decide who they are to them. For example: Rin and Len are siblings twins or lovers. (For me they are twins.) However, no matter what the movie says they are I will watch it over and over again staring starstruck at my screen with a massive smile on my face. A story based movie, game or manga is long overdue for these beloved volcaliods. 🙂
