Experimenting with colors is quite fun, lately I've introduced floral motives and green to my black wardrobe. Is still super weird, but also exciting since I haven't worn colors in ages :o

I actually had a similair discussion with my parents yesterday! They used my style and the fact I have been bullied as an example that discrimination also happens to whitepeople-looks. And I told them that I can easily take off these clothes and put on something "normal" to stop bullies if I would choose that. But black people can't change their skin color! (and they shouldn't have to!)

I *love* thrift hauls, so thank you for sharing! My wardrobe has made a steady shift over the past several years as well, even though I still predominantly wear black. I’m very much into mori and dark mori fashion as well as Vintage 30s-50s era styles, so I’ve been mixing it up and creating a style that really fits me as a person and isn’t exactly “cookie-cutter” goth. Looking forward to seeing what you do with these pieces - maybe a look book with them to see how you style them? Also, I am loving your hair right now. It is just too cute and suits you well!

You are such a sweet kid and principled too. I've though for a while that you're a bit of a hippie. I was your age in the 70s and you've definitely got the look without it being a slavish imitation. We also did a fair amount of DIY on our clothes: Tie dying t shirts, bleaching and painting denim, we inserted triangles of fabric into the seams of our jeans to turn them into flares, lots embroidery and applique. Painting white sneakers with felt pens. Good times in many ways.

Love this vintage inspiration in your style! I thrifted a lot this year so far. I've been trying new colors this year too, every year I realize I love a new color and start incorporating it into my style. I remember back in my high school days, this girl who I'm now realizing was a total goth, one day showed up to school with all white sneakers, tight blue jeans, a lime green turtleneck sweater and a super bright pink backpack... wow. I can't believe I remember that. Being the only goth at school, her, everyone was in awe. Like, she always dressed pretty much the way you do. That was the first time she wore something besides all black and boots. After that, she did it a few more times... god, she was so smart, nice and pretty too. Anyways, love the dinosaur!!
