This is my first video where I introduce color. Coloring a car is tricky. Because there is multiple factors that affect the color of the car. A car would never be the same color visually through the entire car. There is always something affecting that. On this tutorial I'll teach you the foundation to start applying color to your designs.

This is probably one of the best videos out there which explains how surface changes would affect light, shadow and reflection. Thanks for making this. It has been very helpful!

Okay the curve with the reflection of the sky flips... that is a game changer for me! I’m starting to think I should try going back to paper if all my markers didn’t dry up🤞🏻I have lots of new clients this week and maybe I’ll try working with paper instead of digital just for a week

Medium really is an option. Digital vs paper. But if I buy art from someone. I much rather have it hand made than printed. I know the digital art was made but the final product is a print. If you are delivering design, then it doesn't make a difference

Good morning rod , that was brainstorming tutorial and really that made clear why are applying color to particular surface. Please guide us about choosing our markers (considering students aspects in mind). Have a nice day. 😄

I will. I know students are on a tight budget. But good markers make a big difference. You can't use regular markers. It has to be a designer marker. (COPIC, CHARTPACK AD MARKER, PRISMACOLOR)

You should go teach at ACCD. Not one instructor has a painted sheet of acrylic to illustrate how the horizon reflects on the body of a car. Closest would probably be Stewart Macey who takes his students out to the parking lot to check out an actual car. Nice tutorial!

Hi Gabe, I did that myself with Stewart Macy. LOL. It all adds up to your knowledge. I'm just trying to make the best and easiest way to help everyone understand. Cool thing with that acrylic, I could physically bend it almost like if it was in Alias Studio Tools. I actually went through ACCD with Alan Macy as my class mate. Stewart's son :) I'm getting invited to design Universities to do some workshops. I believe I'll go to ACCD in the near future. Specially since I'm one of their own. I miss it a lot!! Thanks for the support

Hey Rod, in the next video, can you please let us know how to communicate our designs, and what makes the design emotional, and how to express our design, and how do we understand if the design is emotional, I have an issue with communicating my design, as I hardly know what makes it emotional, so I would like to know, what makes the design emotional and how to make it emotional, hope you have understood my query! 😅

I'll give it a try. Hardest thing is to translate your vision from your brain to the outer world, where someone else can see what is in your head. What makes it emotional? Everything you design, someone will hate it and someone will love it. So it depends of who is seeing it.

@@prosketchbyrodcamus8807 yes that's right, but can you just for example explain one of your designs by showing us what indicates which emotion, or what story is your design trying to tell us, that's all I need to know, it's just that I want to be able to explain my design to people, now loving it or hating it is a totally different part
