I color in the Theresa Goodrich books all the time with markers. The sharpie ultra fine point are great for those books. I love creative haven books. Thanks for sharing your collection. 😀

Thanks for the tips! I've found Sharpies don't bleed as much as my other alcohol markers. I have some of the ultra fines but forget to pull them out. Thanks for the reminder; I'll give them a try. 💜Cathy😺

Wonderful collection Cathy! I only have one Angela Porter book but I do like her art. Just want to get more done in the one i have...The "zendoodly" cat book i Really like ...I Can't resist a cat that wants to be cuddled!😂.. Your GT cbn Cat pictures look really nice!...It would be So awesome if the GT cbn books had a fold out color key!! Enjoyed seeing your Creative Haven collection! I love the Creative Haven CBN books (especially the Toufexis ones) and would love if they had larger images of the solutions and a fold out color key. But, I know that would raise the price. I have a few of the other Dover published books too. Their 'spark' line and the kid's color by number and fun. 💜Cathy😺

Great collection, sometimes when I can't figure out which colors to choose, I google that coloring book and go to images and I usually get a lot of inspiration there

I love using alcohol markers; they are my go to. I don't use them in Creative Haven books that often since the line work is often thin. One day I'll have to give pencils a try. 💜Cathy😺

What do you do with the books you destash? I have several as well and not sure where to donate them to. Regardless, great collection! George is my absolute favorite too. I use pencils in all his books. I love how so many colored images I see use alcohol markers, but I'm just not sure how to do that with such thin lines and not make a mess :(.

I either pass the books to other coloring friends or to a nonprofit in my town that works with special needs adults. I love seeing their smiles when I drop off a box of crafty stuff. I colored 2 George pages today using markers. The thin lines are a challenge but im always impressed when the page is done (even with a little bleeding) they look nice. Can I use watercolor brush pens on these books ?

I'd think so. They are single sided so if you have any bleed through, it will be okay. I haven't tried watercolor brush pens in them, or other water mediums. I prefer using permanent markers like Sharpies or Bic Intensity. I don't use pencils but I know they work well also. Have fun coloring!
