Hey Emily and Daidus, I don't know if you'll see this but I actually watched your Inktober episodes while I was in the hospital recovering from having a stent placed in my heart, and it was one of the few things that made me happy and cheered me up during that time. I just wanted to say that Emily didn't bring "bad vibes" at all, and I remember smiling at the video while I ate my hospital food. Thank you for making my hospital trip just that little bit better, because I really needed that back then.

Daidus is too good at coloring what?? I'm impressed, good job. Emily's strength is line art for sure. The part that I love about Daidus' art is that his sketches are always so cool, messy, and unique. Emily is just so good at what she does, you can't complain. Her cute style, and video consistency (in terms of quality) on her main channel is crazy impressive. I would love to see her experiment too though. 2 Great artists coming together is great to see. I am also so hyped to see the results of both your mangas for the competition.

With alcohol markers sometimes you can fix mistakes with the colorless blender. If you do things right you can use it like an eraser, or as intended, a blender tool. Personally I have trouble blending and shading with markers, but that's why we practice and look up tutorials.

Honestly Emily sharing her story about dealing with a contact dermatitis that really ruins your mood and motivation to draw is something I relate to so much!! I have psoriasis and it’s recently developed on my face, and it’s been so difficult to deal with because it’s just not something that can go away. Add on art block and man! It really bums me out. Feels like so many things are just out of your control sometimes. But these videos inspire me to try new things, to keep drawing especially for myself. Thanks for sharing your struggle Emily 🥺❤

My mom got me a 216 pack of Ohuhu's for my birthday and holy man they actually make me so excited to do traditional art again. I do a lot of Splatoon art so playing around with the vibrant colors is so much fun! When in a 'not so great' mood (to do drawing) ...instead of trying to do 'regular' drawing...just do 'scribble' or 'doodle' drawing. (Which eliminates your feeling pressure to do perfection art.) Thereby, allowing yourself the freedom to, 'go through the *art/drawing motions'*- helping raise your mood.

Glad to see y’all yapping LOL-trying to poop out some essays right now so I really relate to the art block situation. Also it’s always kind of vicariously comforting to see you two be in community with each other as artists. I end up doing a lot of my stuff (art or otherwise) alone; it can get a little lonely sometimes, creatively. A note for Emily and others feeling similarly, because I very much identify with the frustration you’ve expressed of being stuck (I think?) in a rut. There’s this game I used to play with a friend: we would freehand abstract shapes and lines on a single piece of paper, then add in details to create faces or figures (mostly nonsensical things really, like a maybe-caterpillar with huge eyelashes). The goal is to laugh at what you and the other person are creating. It’s a very silly game but it helped me step out of the mental confines of what I thought my style was, so that gradually when I drew for real later I felt less pressure to conform to the rules I had unwittingly set for myself. Idk if that sounds like fun for you, but maybe it could help. At the very least, it’s good for a laugh and you can never have too many of those.

Emily, I've got to relate to the holding in your feelings but I'm trying to fix it because my anxiety disorder and depression got so bad that I ended up self-harming multiple times and almost failed in all my school classes. I'm getting better but I still struggle with the urges but your guys have reopened my love of art and helped me through my stress/trauma and I made my first vent art!!! Hey Emily, my sister and I also got dermatitis and we didn’t even know why or how we got it. It just came out of nowhere but we realized we’ve been stressed and the more stressed we had the worst inflammation and redness/dryness we had. Nothing we did worked, until I used vitamin e oil lipgloss and when I put that at night, it cleared it up and I could wear my makeup without any issues. It’s still there since there’s not a full cure for it (unless you go to a dermatologist) but I don’t have to worry about redness or inflammation because of the vitamin e oil lipgloss.

Something that helps me when im sad, Emily, is having a journal to write in, maybe a vent art notebook, or someone kind i care about to talk to. I talk to my sister about my feelings a lot. She always comforts me, or makes something to comfort me (ex. I like coffee and one time when my depression was kicking in she made me a cozy cup of hot coffee.) So, i hope this helps some!

Fun fact: dermatitis gets worse during cold season due to the lack of oil on your skin. Usually, dermatitis happens due to the lack of moisture, which irritates the skin. Which is why putting moisturizer after you shower helps a lot, it traps in moisture. :)

"Markers are too yolo" Emily and Daidus should try out acrylic markers. They're my saviors, love em so much. The colors don't mix that much but the method I found that helps blend it together was to use water a lil bit or sacrifice a watercolor pen marker with a similar color to blend it.

I only realized years later that I’m lactose intolerant because the only lactose milk I drink was with coffee and I connected the symptoms with coffee. Many dairy products in my country are already lactose-free so I didn’t get symptoms while eating pizza, cheeseburgers etc. One day I forgot that milk ran out the day before so I drank my coffee black. No symptoms whatsoever and I was confused. Changed to lactose-free milk and have never looked back.
