your art is stunning and your haul great. :) really enjoyed it. 39:38 the nail art community calls that a doting tool, because they literally place nail polish/gel dots of difference sizes onto the nail with it. but they also use it for all sort of different other techniques. they come in a bunch of different sizes :)

I’m very interested to hear how you like the Brutfuner oily colored pencils. Also wondering what kind of sharpener you use with them. Love your videos Lovella.They always inspire me.

Thank you so much! 💖💖 I use the Dahle 133 sharpener for the Brutfuner oily square barreled pencils. They work great with square or thick barreled colored pencils and also they don’t leave dents. I’ve only used those pencils a couple times and they blend beautifully, with a nice range of colors. And as budget oily pencils, they’re ones that I would probably get a second set sometime later on (hopefully they’ll still sell them). I can’t think of any negatives at the moment 😅 but I’m the type of person where if I find that I don’t like using a pencil on a certain type of paper, I adjust. I would copy onto a different paper/cardstock or switch pencils or just color a different book. Thank you again, Karalyn, for watching my videos and also for your sweet comment. Beautiful Thomas Kinkade little mermaid page, especially the ocean bedrocks. May I ask if there are any tips to color the ocean “purplish” rocks? And, thank you very much for sharing all your enabling goodies ☺️ You are very thorough and organized 👍🏻

Thank you so much Sharlene and I apologize for answering you back so late. I had to look at the TK mermaid page again to look at the purplish rocks lol. My tip would be to use your swatch chart to compare with the colors of the painting so that you can easily find colors to blend. I used several Prismacolor premier colors (Prisma blends the best for me). I can’t even remember how many pencils I used for those rocks but I switched them by whatever the painting colors were. I remember as I was coloring them, I was not really impressed because up close, it doesn’t look nice. But as soon as it was complete, I looked at it from afar and it actually looks alright 😅 For me, it’s close enough lol! The TK painting did make it intimidating to start but I’m so happy that it’s in this book so that I can use it to reference. Also if you want to have the painted on kind of look, I would use Prismacolor to blend all the different colors. It makes it seamless, I think. 👍🏼 I hope you find my tips helpful.
