I love watching your videos. I learn so much about letting go and enjoy the process of coloring. It has helped me so much with my depression of late. I am coloring more now and trying to finish pages that I have not touched in a while. Thank you Rachel. Love Terri Simmers.

Rachel, I'll bet you think everyone just watches your channel for coloring tips and such. While this may be true for me as well, but only to a lesser degree. The world is in such disarray, and emotions are soooo raw, that I often click off world affairs and chaos and intentionally click onto Pencilstash. And why? Coloring is soothing and so is your role and voice. It sinks down into our center where I'm reminded that there's joy and color and beauty and comfort. A voice and watchable activity that soothes MY soul anyway. A reminder that in the midst of crisis and chaos, we can sit down and color and KNOW that this is as EQUALLY important to the human soul. Watching/listening to your videos are as therapeutic to me, (and I'll bet others), as any other self care treatment is. So ya, just thought I'd let you know that you're far more reaching than you probably know. Thank you.

I started these pages back in March. I stopped for a little bit. It is overwhelming sometimes. I like how you approached these pages. I love your red/red violet bird. Looks really good. Cant wait to see which age you color next.

Love what you did with this page. Love the color palette that you used. Beautiful. I haven't started this page yet, definitely time consuming, but looks like fun. Really happy that you're posting videos again. I missed you. Thank you!

Yes you must do a light layer first in this book. It makes the whole thing more manageable because you can see what is going on in the pic. I was put grocery shopping yesterday and there in the book section was this book. It was 25.percent off so I bought it. It’s very different than the other books I have. A different style which helps break up any monotony with books by one artist.

PencilStash- Rachel? Just a tip....When using pastels....when you only lightly/gently rub them on a page, it’s just sitting there on top of the tooth of the paper. That’s why they “move” on you and you “need” to use a fixative. On the other hand, IF you actually push it into the tooth of the paper then gently brush off any that didn’t get pushed in, it will NOT come off, period. If you rub your finger over it and some still comes off, you’re not done. IF you have truly gotten it into the tooth of the paper, you will rub you hand over it and NOTHING will come off onto your hand, let alone anywhere else....just a little FYI! (Saw that tip in a video probably close to 3 years ago and that’s how I do it if I use pastels. I have pages that I did 2/3 years ago and when I go back to “visit” those pages, nothing has come off onto the opposite page (if done in a book) and I can run my hand over it and zero residue comes off onto my hand!) BTW, Your page came out beautiful.... I would never be able to do Kerby Rosanes’s books... I don’t do well with a lot of “tiny” detail work, like he and Johanna Basford does. Stresses me out.
