My favorite way to swatch is on the perforated 3×5 cards that you can tear in half and have a hole punched in the corner. They are great as a quick reference and you hold the colors directly next to your swatch or colors you have already chosen to make sure the tone will match. It has saved me a ton of time, stress, and guess work. And my pack came with a clip ring to keep everything together as well👍❤ Thankyou for all the tedious work you have put into this video, rearranging 150 pencils is no easy task! And Rose you are a gem as always!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the 150 set of Prismacolor pencils, for about 3 years now. Hardly ever use them because it's so confusing how they are laid out in the box. I also am not sure if my sense of what is warm or cool colors is always accurate. So I just have been using Tombow markers in a very childlike way. And using die cuts with colored cardstock. Copic has come out with a marker that has the 3 colors in the same marker for blending and now with your book I will be having a lot of fun. But your book comes first because I have the colored pencils already. I am so excited to get started!!!

I have to say although Jennifer is the star of the show I do enjoy Steve's insights and contributions as well. At the 21:15 mark about Prismacolor strengths and weaknesses, it peaked my feelings and ideas as to what what might be nice supplemental colors, wax and oil to add to this set. Either from your standpoint or other Prismacolor users in this group. I added a Blick Gold to my set as the Prismacolor gold was not the jewelry gold I was looking for. Since you have handy access to all of those beautiful swatches I thought it would be a fun video to put together. Keep up the good work you two.

I have just completed the book Colors A Workbook for colored pencils that taught me how to use the best 12 manufactured colors from a color pencil set (I chose Prismacolor). It has taught me SOOO much about how to see colors and showed me how to create almost all of the colors with just those 12 pencils. In doing this, it helped me put the colors in a great order when it comes to the color wheel because I am able to see, hands on, what colors go into each color as well as determine where it would go based on how much of each color as involved in the mixing of that color. You might LOVE that book and it may help you on your research journey. Thanks for all you do!

I printed out the worksheets and color wheels and am going though the box working on the swatches and color combos! I can't even begin to tell you how helpful your materials and video are! It's really making sense out of this big beautiful yet intimidating box of colors! I just love how you broken them down by the color groups! I've done that now with my markers and watercolor pencils too and made a little bag for every color group! It really helps me to see where I need more colors and where I don't! I love too how you organized your case and that will be my next purchase along with some Gamsol and a few stumps! All this started when I just wanted to color in a few stamped cards but now I'm hooked! I wanted to let you know how helpful you've both been in getting me started and making sense of everything!

WOWWEE I never cease to be amazed at the amount of ceaseless hard work you both put into these informative and inspiring work books and sheets. I new to colouring still., ( and somewhat fallen into the trap of collection/hoarding) and can some times find it overwhelming the amount of technical info out there in internet land, especially when i started out disappointed in my colouring style/skill and fell down the rabbir hole of colouring. I LOCE LOVE LOVE that you review all brands from across the world and appear to have no obvious bias. i just wish the cost of postage from USA wasn't so prohibitive or else i would have got all your wonderful swatching books, white tan and dark and all the workbooks for the major brands. Once again thank you and id you ever feel the need to get any UK brands that are as pricey over there as prismas are over here then just shout out.. Love this information! Just bought the 150 set of Prismacolor Premier and swatched them out. But then I cut the swatches apart and put them in numeric order. And only two colors had duplicate numbers! But my little stack of swatches just got knocked over by my cat! Oh well. I’m Gonna order the book!

I swatched my Caran D'Ache Luminance using the Coloring Bliss Swatch Chart (fixing the order) - You and Steve are the BEST at putting colors in order. When you say Steve is really good at seeing the under tones in colors, I believe you because it shows in the charts. I hope you tackle more sets :) Have you done the Brutfuner Squares?!? Aah, or as we say in UK ‘the penny has dropped’. Yesterday I downloaded the new Castle Art chart that combines the soft coloured pencils with the Pasteltint and started arranging my new pencils into a case. On quite a few occasions I thought that’s weird that brown shouldn’t go there but I had the confidence in you pair, the longer I went on I passed the point of my no return! With the intention of swatching my pencils today thinking I will know then if it’s ‘right or wrong’. But then this video was on overnight so awake as usual I watched, so thank you, you’ve dispelled my trepidation in the colour order and I’m actually looking forward to completing the swatch and Tritone charts etc. 👍🏼😀👍🏼😀

I wonder if this will be useful beyond putting your prismacolors in order I’m thinking it be good for determining what colors to use for other projects like quilting if you use the pencils for design purposes. In the past I have used copics for that but prismacolors would be great too. The book could speed up the process.

OMG still couldn't find the time earlier to watch your video and hole day I was hoping to finally find THE PC video, and been half way through your video and i am olmost DANCING !!! YEAH, you guys are the only ones who understand my mind !! YEAH colorwheel order ! Right away I could see that the PC order was not helping me AT ALL. So you don’t do it in a rainbow order like Roy G Biv? You start with the yellows I’m sorry I’m confused…😮 the color wheel is different of how the cools and warms? Yikes when I finally get a job I am going to sign up to be a $5 premier member so I can get all this corrected in my mind!
