Lol yeah most of the masking i actually did in paint with making things essentially a green screen and then chroma key it XD I personally find masking manga easier for me. Aww thanks! Yeah she is! If you are sticking to anime just stick with season 1, book of circus (season 3 essentially), book of murder and the new movie book of Atlantic. season 2 is strictly filler and while the later half of season 1 is filler it still makes a easier segway for the other seasons based on the manga. Book of Atlantic is the arc when Lizzy begins to show her "true self". Oh cool! I hope my live stream was ok! Thanks I hope you enjoy any more future amvs/mmvs I have ^_^

I had seen this one day after the upload from now (aka, since 20th), and since I almost killed the replay button by watching this at least three times in a row and at least two like that per day, I thought it would be great to say what amazes me the most about this (warning, long post): •"something tells me I know nothing at all." (2:10) at the time it appeared an image of a semi-devilish(in appearance-because we all know he's what he is) Sebastian taking Ciel possessively. •"I've scaped my captor, and I have no master." (2:17) while it appeared her being taken care by Edward, then running away, and looking strangely out of her body (2:23). This resembles much of Lizzie's latest acting a lot, that she seems to fin now Ciel more of… her 'hunter' rather than someone truly beloved by her. It would be the same with all the other characters, if they dared to try and _rescue_ her, but it wasn't them, at least, not most of them. •"and somehow, there's not a God waiting."(2:25) the phrase makes me think as though she did everything she did [the running away scandal, fighting Sebastian, allying Bravat] for no purpose. Or rather… that the purpose wasn't as white and pure as she expected it to be. Or… the last option, she knew everything she was doing, and she also knew she wasn't favoring the 'good one,' as most would look at it, as her relatives, her known would see it. They would not see what she was trying to do, and they would never figure it out, why their little Elizabeth, the sweet angel, the youngest child of Marquis Alexis Middleford and Frances Middleford would do such a thing, would go and run away in some foolish thing. Some foolish thing wasn't worth the risk, the scandal. •you win extra points for the parts at 2:35 ! I've always loved those panels from 77(I think?) and the way Edward showed determination. Here, however, I looked at them with different perspective, even though I knew their real purpose. In this, it looked like she was trying to achieve whatever she could by the teachings from her brother, as he was older. Like she was trying to become stronger and not the original purpose, that tried to show the stubbornness of Edward, the one who wasn't ashamed from learning from his baby sister. Here you portray it (or I hope it to be) like she's the one that is trying to be better. •Also, extra points for the animations at the sound bells at 3:00 - 3:33 , they totally gave me chills the first 15 times I heard it!, and curiously it has happened only with two songs aside from this, so that's really great. That put into place, I can thank you for such hard work. I know it's hard to lose somebody, and I hope your dwell to be not anymore painful that it already is. I. I'm not implying for you not to suffer about it, but don't let it be bigger than yourself (that was me doing a shitty job at comforting you, I'm sorry if it doesn't make you feel better). I really hope for this to win, it's worth more than first place(it was for a contest, right?). All the scenes were wisely choose, and it's obvious you put hard work on them. The song (beautiful song) was perfect fitting for the Lizzy we all know, and it's great you could find her some song worth of her, this actually made me love her more than I already do (she still isn't my fave character, but she's very close to the spot!) I don't know what else to add, this really has amazed me, and I really don't know how did I express myself with words (a lot of words, actually), but I could only concentrate very little. This video made me think much more about her, and it's really great. Put on some ideas and points taken in the manga from another perspective, what gives me the chance to see them differently. And different is perfect for me! Oh well, I've warned this would be long, again, thank you so much for uploading this, and I've to say you've got terrible (in a positive way) talent with editing. I think because it was mmv I loved it since the begging! There's quite few fandoms where manga is mostly used (because the anime doesn't reach what the manga does) so I never felt them like underappreciated, if anything, they actually were more liked than amvs. I hope you feel better now, and that someday it will no longer hurt.

I saw this at Anime Expo... and just wow. My mind was blown. I thought the style looked familiar. (I've been a subscriber for years, but I've fallen so far behind on my subscriptions.) And I was pleased to find out at the end of its showing that it was by you. This is fantastic work! I cannot believe you said you rushed the ending to get it ready in time for AX. To me it's perfect. The song fits Lizzy so well. I think I spoiled some things for myself since I"m not caught up on Black Butler, but the spoilers are well worth it. The scenes match up with the lyrics so well. Of all the entries I saw at AX, this was the one that resonated with me the most. Phenomenal work.

Awesome work! Definitely one of the better mmvs that I've seen. I really love the way that you animate, especially the clips around 0:57 which looked really impressive. Out of curiosity, do you animate by cutting out the individual sections of the image and moving them, or do you use the puppet tool in AE? Or both? I hope you make it to the finals at AX!

Thanks! I am really happy with how some of the animations came out myself! I don't use after effects or a puppet tool. I used Sony vegas and edited some pictures in a paint program. Essentially coloring out what I don't want in green them to make it easier to animate. Also rendering the animations out separately on a green screen.

I'm so late with finding this, but wow, you did an incredible job. I can tell you put a lot of effort into the video and it certainly shows. I do think that at times the movement is too fast, and not enough time is given for the viewer to soak in the emotions of some of the manga panels. That being said though, the final product definitely packs that emotional punch overall- which I believe is what you wanted to achieve anyway. Fantastic job and it's wonderful to see a rare Lizzy video, and an MMV at that :D

lol thanks! I have most of the manga chapters up to last month. But I need to wait till I get an idea or song that I think I can make work. I do plan to make another one. Just waiting for right song. Also this was a extremely intricate mmv and I only recently did a mmv to a similar level with my show yourself one to cardcaptor sakura last month. So I dunno how the next black butler mmv will be. But seriously thank you so much!

I watched the anime first and was like " wow lizzy is a kinda annoying character, but still sweet and probably-even though Ciel doesn't admit- a sun in his life. " but then I read the manga and was like " LADIES AND GENTLEMEN LIZZY HAS ARRIVED YOU BETTER NOT GET ON HER BAD SIDE AND DON'T TOUCH CIEL.PERIOD." but this was alltogether an awesome mmv and good job I need to re read these again.

This is truly amazing! The amount of masking done must've been hell but it's absolutely perfect! Also, I haven't read the manga but have seen the anime. That has made me really want to read the manga. Does Liz fight Sebastian in it? If so that would be so cool to see.

awww wow thank you! You should read the manga! However if you watch the anime it goes first half of season 1, book of circus, book of murder, and the book of Atlantic.. which are all material from the manga. the last half of season1 and all of season 2 aren't cannon. So if you want to watch the anime then read where the manga picks up you can start after the Book of Atlantic arc then go tot eh school arc followed by the green witch and the current arc which hints that it might be ending. But yes Lizzy fights sebstain in the current arc
