Lisa I really enjoyed your reminiscing about the "old days prior to modern technology". Every once and a while when I am in a fast food restaurant and the computerized register is not working, it is really sad to see how many young people are not capable of processing your bill manually and giving you the correct change. Even with paper and pencil they are unsure of the correct change to give you. We have lost so many basic skills like long hand arithmetic and writing in cursive. We are cheating future generations of vital skills. My grandchildren in my family look at me in amazement when I talk about cooking, sewing, art and music, and physical education classes in public school. They are unstoppable on a cellphone or computer but do not know how to amuse each other with simple games like jacks or hopscotch or dodge ball. I remember spending days with my siblings and parents on a picnic or camping trip. Now young people want to be on their phones, not out enjoying nature and each other. We were nurtured to enjoy other people. That is probably why you enjoy reaching out to others on a you tube channel, and I enjoy watching.

JoAnn Joiner thank you so much! Yes, the future generations are truly missing out on so much that really teach them how to handle life in so many different ways. Even when kids are sitting at the same table, they are actually texting each other rather than talking to each other. How ridiculous is that???

Thanks for spending the morning with me :-) Your rose turned out beautiful. It's one of my favourites. I'm working on the Eiffel tower today. The Pitt pens have been on my wishlist for so long and seeing them in action again makes me wonder why I'm waiting so long to get them as I am primarily a marker user. I do use my alcohol inks for this book and they are great on this paper. Here in Ontario Canada, they banned weed killer about 8-10 years ago. One day they just all disappeared from the shelves. We were told to embrace the dandelions and now in early summer, the lawns are a sea of yellow and in late summer the fluff gives everyone allergies that didn't use to have any. You still see the extreme gardener on their hands and knees digging weeds out by hand though!

Your picture turned out lovely even with the oopsies. Thanks for sharing it with us. I've added those books to my wishlist. I think they are lovely. I was finishing up a Dover Spark page while listening to you. We've had sunshine today, but Duluth end up with snow. In some parts, they got 10". Did you get any of that storm? Yesterday it was overcast and maybe misted a bit. Regarding the pull ups, they came out when my son was a baby in the early 90s. He wasn't fully potty trained until he was 3½, but he'd been dry at night since 18 months old or so. I worked days and my mom nights (both in the same factory) so she babysat for me. Well, I was tired of him "forgetting" to go so I told him he was a big enough to use the bathroom all every time. I said that if he went in his pants again, he'd get a spanking. Unbeknownst to me my mom told him the same thing. Guess what? Not a single accident after that. We found out what they other one told him about a week later when discussing his sudden progress. *lol*

Melinda Reading and Coloring Enthusiast we didn’t get any snow here - thank god!! We just got a lot of rain. I’m hoping that once we get Maddie in pull ups that she’ll start using the potty chair more but they say you can’t push them and that they’ll know when they’re ready. We’ll see. Lol.

Don’t push her, you’ll have serious regression when the baby comes if you push her. If you wait until she’s ready then it will not matter that the baby has a diaper & she doesn’t
