You should use knife edges on the partitioning side that is against the defuser to reduce the black areas showing up between pixels..

Good job. To me looks like the LED used are actually bullet type WS2811 model not version 2812B which is usually stripe form factor

How bright? Can it be seen in direct sunlight? How far away is it visible at night? I had to go with 3W LEDs for my project so it could be seen from 100 meters, at night.

They are standard ~0.3W LEDs each. Barely visible in direct sun. At night it's fine but no idea of distance as I never used it beyond ~5 meters.

Great work. Can you estimate the total cost of the entire project? I'm interested in building one like this.

+Abdullbasit AlHaita - Probably around $700 in total. The LEDs were about $450, but we bought them direct from the manufacturer in China. Then power supplies, lumber, foam core, copper for the power rails totaled another $250 or so. And then a ton of time... couple hundred man hours probably. It would obviously be much faster if built again, and we kind of did things the hard and slow, but cheap way.

very very very very expensive kind of a LED display. Easier to control, but please not for that price. this thing should be a nice heater!? 375W?! Should be sensible warm in front of this display. Nevertheless, big respect for the work! very time consuming work...
