I love watching you colour and have learned so much from you. Could you explain the difference between how you colour with polychromos compared to prismacolor. Its a bit difficult to tell by just watching. X

Hi Sharon, I don’t actually colour any differently with both these pencils. Sometimes I colour from light to dark to layer but usually I burnish from dark to light. But… I do have a video on blending coming any day now 😉

So so beautiful and skillfully done. Have you ever thought of pan pastels? They are awesome for background work like this. And the sponge applicators apply the pigment a lot more smooth than a qtip. At least I found that. And of course each pan would last you a life time because you need so little. Keep on doing your beautiful work doll. Awesome.

I’m going to ask for another copy of this book for Christmas so I can do some colour alongs. I’m really bad at not writing down the colours I use so many pages are incomplete. I love the background in this one and the wings!

How do you decide where to start? That's what intimidates me so much.

Usually I can picture what it’ll look like completed so I just start with the biggest element like leaves or trees etc. Other times I just pick an element that I know what colour I want it to be like water and start with that. Once you colour one element it’s easier to get ideas for the others 🤗
