I went all grey this year and I had to rejig my entire clothing and makeup to navy blues, deep rose and burgundies. I love these colours now on me. It’s constant experimentation but the biggest one is becoming comfortable in my own skin and natural hair.

Amazing the difference the softer colours make! When I was younger, I had dark auburn hair but now I am older it has gone salt and pepper. For the first time in my life I have been wearing softer black garments and feeling good with how I look. Before, black always made me look ill.

I had a colour analysis done after going white/grey. I definitely would avoid gold! And I'd avoid beige with grey hair. I'm looking forward to seeing some videos with your proper colour palette.

This was so interesting! I've got similar colouring. Hazel eyes, grey/white hair framing my face and (still) darker at the back of my head. I've let my hair gone grey early last year and found that my old wardrobe with the warmer colours doesn't suit me anymore. Since I'm going shopping with my daughter next week, I will try on softer and cooler colours to see if they suit me better. This analysis really was an eye opener for me! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Medium and soft in a wide range of colors suit you so well. You can borrow from the warm soft . I’m very much the same and relate . Very much enjoying your videos! I’m a newbie . Thanks !

Fascinating! Was diagnosed a Spring in the Colour Me Beautiful era, then updated to a Light Spring when it morphed into 12 seasons. Now 72, I tend to dress towards the"bluer" end of the Light Spring pallette (rather the brown, orange, salmon and mustard tones I loved and looked amazing in my 50s but which look heavy on me today). My 3 best colours to wear next to my face are daffodil, lime and aqua and ones I receive the most compliments on. I don't think our skin undertones change, but there are factors that may influence the choices we make from within our colour pallette. I'm still a Light Spring but enjoy experimenting with colours from within that pallette I may not have worn in the past.

Hi. If you're a light spring then you can also wear colors from light summer - they are sister seasons.

You know, I’ve always loved a wide range of colors all my life and as the years have gone by and the whiter my hair has got, I wear any shade I like but adjust my makeup accordingly.

Pretty sure I am a soft summer, leaning a bit toward autumn and either bright silver nor bright gold suit me. I like sort of tarnished pewter or champagne, cool gold metals. Your grey hair looks more champagne than white, so I feel like you are pretty neutral and can go either warm or cool but in a limited range in muted tones. You look like a soft autumn to me - that colour wheel does include some mustard/yellow tones.

I wear gold and silver well and like both. My skin tone is Nuetral with both green and blue veins. Went grey lasy year and have a silver grey hair color like my Father. Make up does need to be bolder to not look washed out. Always wear lipstick.

I am having the hardest time with colors, I used to have dark brown/auburn hair with super fair skin and hazel green eyes-with a lot of gold(so the eyes read warm). Now I have white/medium gray hair, my fair skin drains me, the warm eye color contradicts my makeup. I feel like a hot mess most days. I have switched from a wardrobe of earth tones to cool gray tones with rose, mid teal and white. Still trying to figure out eye makeup.

Why do you let your makeup conflict with your eye color? You control your makeup! It's like hitting your thumb with a hammer and blaming the hammer.

Very interesting. I'm cool toned as well with salt and pepper hair although I am on the darker end of it and am learning a lot from your 2 videos. I have high contrast between fair skin and dark hair. Looking forward to more videos from your color analysis. Are you going to change your profile pic to a more complimentary color?
@janefriel6895 Жыл бұрын
That very sentence you just wrote is a total contradiction. "Salt and pepper " is infact a mixture of warm and cool.This so called " colour Analyst" is misleading.

Wishy washy colours don't suit. I like the caramel colours which are enduring and classic. The reason why the caramel long cardigan did not work was that you teamed it up with various other colours (Burgundy top and black trousers). I prefer to buy good quality classic items that do not date but also save money in the long run. I have a classic caramel coat which will last many, many years.

The colour systems catagories are too narrow and limited. They fail to take into account red undertones and predominantly neutral skin tone, soft clear rather than muted skin and olive skin.

Your instincts are right, you do not have a cool undertone. Undertones do not change with age. Foundation has to match overtone not undertone. Overtones change with sun exposure and age.
