We can see exactly the difference between all colors and I really appreciate that. Also the ambiance, everything in the background is white, most of times including the shirts of these two wonderful ladies, so there are no distractions and we can focus on exactly what it is about - the effect of colors on the face! Thank you for showing someone with eyes darker than their hair. We do exist, but a lot of systems ignore us or classify us all as Autumn regardless of undertone 😱 Luckily I was analysed under another system when I was 12 or 13 as cool and soft/ medium, which has been incredibly useful.

So true. My hair and brows have always been naturally much lighter than my eyes, and my skin is very pale. I started out with colorless hair until some blonde pigment began coming in around age 5. It settled down in adulthood to a kind of streaky bronde. Even an hour or so in the sun will lighten it by a shade, but I try to prevent that. Now that I have it colored to hide the gray, it turns reddish as the color washes out, which I don’t like.🙂

Im happy this video came out. My sister told me back in the 80's from Color Me Beautiful that I was a summer (due to my veins, ha!), but I was disappointed because I had strawberry blond hair and brown/green hazel eyes. I was like, hey I am clashing with myself! How can that be? But she insisted. She had never heard of the 12 color season system and I think today she would agree that Im a soft summer (I have a very low intensity/contrast)! I have a shirt that is a very muted apricot and I Love how it makes me look! Then I just learned from these ladies that I can borrow muted autumn colors. I am so happy! My skin is quite peachy on the surface and then there is a slight blue undertone that dominates. Hope my comments help others who have been confused for decades like me. So excited.

Thank you! My coloring is very similar to Marta's ... my undertone is very slightly cooler, my hair is slightly warmer, and I have light eyes. I could never decide if I was Soft Summer or Soft Autumn, because some colors from both palettes don't work for me - but others from both look sensational. I now know that the key factor is *soft*, not warm/cool. If I stick to soft shades, and avoid both intensely warm and intensely cool colors, I'll be fine.

Thank you for this Summer Soft analysis! It's very rare to see such a detailed video in KZbin for this coloration. It confirms my own analysis that I'm SS. I react in the same way of these tricky colors like the warm peachy pink and the lovely warm bright green in the spring palette - I love them so much but I look like a living death! 😄 Thanks god I realized that in my early 20s so I learned to buy cool colors before I knew they are cool... After years I noticed that lovely winter colors are "too much" for me and I tended naturally to the summer palette. The last step was when I realized that some summer colors like frosty pink makes me look grayish and when I tan It's not bronzy but toppy color. Thanks the pandemic I discovered the color analysis here in KZbin and there was an "aha!" moment 😁 But I wasn't convinced yet because I ware well some of the other summer colors. Thanks to your video now I have no doubt that I'm SS and what quality of color I should search in my clothes and makeup so thank you very much! ❤

Jeans tops (like jackets) also look very good on summer types. The marine blue / indigo hues, or if it is light denim. And denim is always a bit muted if it is not dark blue or black blue). Another signs for summer: they cannot wear a lot of black close to the face. A dress with a deeper neckline (more skinline) might be possibe (but forest green or navy green or dark grey looks better). But if they were a black turtle neck it overpowers them (and also spring types).

13:34 the sand colour definitely has a yellow tint to it - and it does not look good on her. (light to medium grey would be elegant). The dark intense brown is not bad (esppecially with her eyes, and dark eyebrows) but it is a bit overpowering. With a crisp snow white blouse, or a brown garment with a deeper neckline (so some skin visible to weaken the effect of the intense colour) or with a sage green top the intense brown could be elegant and look stunning on her. No objections to the dusty medium intensity pink. Looks good on summer types.

11:39 Actually for me the low intensity samples do not look the best (as if her skin got a greyish hue). I found the medium intensity samples better. Waiting for the larger shawls to be held close to her skin. Soft / muted / light colours win in intensitiy when they are on a larger surface. As for the emerald colour that was shown early in the beginning (versus sage). The variety of sage that was the alternative to the emerald was almost too muted (Sage IS her colour, but she needs a version that is more green instead of grey). I liked the brighter color (emerald green) very well 8:19 and 9:50 . I think one has to differentiate, if she has a summer tan (alloweing for more contratst) or if she would wear a more festive dress with a V-neck showing more skin and the face with a bit more make-up she could totally pull off the stronger color.

This video was super helpful and got me out of being stuck at warm/cool stage. Both silver and gold looked meh on me and neither salmon nor light pink flattered me. Both firengine red and fuchsia looked ok, but a little bit too loud. Mid way this video I figured it out - my main characteristic is dark and my undertone is relatively neutral (a smidge more cool perhaps). My intensity is inbetween medium and high. Most light and and soft colours look really bad on me (sage and pale blues). Same goes with very bright colours (cian and orange and yellow are awful). As soon as I darken the colour and lower the intensity it’s like my skin breaths a sigh of relief. I think I’m somewhere in between dark winter / dark autumn. Still trying to figure out if I am more warm or cool, but as long as it’s close to dark side (value 10-20) of things and medium high intensity (75-80 saturation) it’s a bingo. All greys (both light and dark) look bad one me.

I think I’m a soft summer deep because I can handle soft black (charcoal is one of my best neutrals) and some depth though not as deep as a deep winter. Some of the light soft summer colors wash me out.

It's so rare to see because most soft autumns get mistyped as soft summers...

Great Analyse thank you so much. I miss a little bit the autumn types. Could you please invite more of the autumns? ☺️ Thank you.

You can really see the reflection of the Spring Light colors under her chin! The ones that worked best on her didn’t reflect so harshly

I am absolutely the same! I was inspired by your channel and tried to see my undertone like you do in the beginning, and the difference isn't much noticeable! I still think that I have a cool undertone just because I have bags under my eyes, but that's all that can help me

Finally i know what my color group is. I was always confused because I could wear some autumn colors but also some summer ones. And I didnt know where I belong... so thank you for perfect explanation. I'm also summer soft. (I have brown warm eyes end even my hair is warm but at the scalp my hair is little grey-ish.) Im very happy now!

She's like me, soft autumn with redness on the face. A lot of person misunderstood my season saying I was a summer. Turned out the colors looked unnatural with my overall characteristics. But when you see my arm, there's almost some olive reflections ! champagne, pale copper, pale bronze or titanium is the best, silver is too cool and gold too warm !

Take note if people compliment you spontanuously on certain colours. or if you can SEE that something looks really good. Or the colours that make you look plain, even sickly. That gives you a good general idea. if a person has a lot of redness in their face (for instance from being outdoors a lot in the extreme cold) then they need to go for green and blue colours. So that may even influence their type.

Soft sommer has beautiful green and blue tones that are also good or O.K. for autumn and the blue or green counteract the redness of your face. My father has a lot of red because of working outside. He does not look good in a dark red sweater. The blue and green shades are much, much better.

Martha is certainly a summer type, and I can see not "redness". Her teint is so beautiful and even that I wonder if she wears light make-up.

I pegged her as a Soft Summer, not that I have any training, but I can often recognize my own coloring type. Let’s see what the pro finds!
