Many years ago now when I was 18-19 I married someone in the RAF and we lived on base. Aircraft would take off and land very close to the house passing over it. People wondered how I coped with the noise but I became so accustomed to it I didn’t notice it. Then until 24 years ago I lived I towns with traffic noise, but or the last 24 years I have lived on a farm and now it’s silent most of the time with the occasional birdsong. There were cows here years ago and you would hear them sometimes now it’s so quiet so it’s interesting listening to your traffic noise. I enjoy listening and watching you and the traffic noise is quite relaxing oddly enough.

Hi Catlady! I live next to a very busy highway. I’ve lived here almost my entire life. Sometimes my guests will ask me how I can stand the noise of the busy highway and I usually reply with, “ What noise” ?? 😂

Thank you for sharing your colouring. I have the Crayola colours of the world and never thought to use them in this kind of picture. I am waiting for my copy of this book so once I get it I really want to try and colour along. It will be the first time I have done a colour along and I'm very exited to try. Hi Lucy. I adore the big cats, I go to our local safari park many times a month to drive through the lions and sit and enjoy them. There are also a couple of tigers but the lions have my heart. So kind of Rita to send you a personalised copy of her newest book. I ordered mine from Germany, could not wait until we go to the Christmas Markets in November, and it was dispatched yesterday. Love, love, love your color combinations!!! Mr. Leopard looks amazing; and the leaves and tree do too! The thing I tell myself when I’m using my Crayolas is that I’m not in a race to finish a page. My hands are especially painful and get cramped easily. So I slow down and try to enjoy the interaction of the colors which blend together to make beautiful pictures. On Crayola’s tutorials, they suggest cross hatching layered colors to create more realistic blends. I’ve done that with hay bales or hay stacks. See you tomorrow night as you finish this page!

I did exactly (well almost) exactly how u colored the cat. It finally came out looking pretty good. I did have to do layer after layer after layer. When I first started I was really upset and so sad bc it looked so bad, but after a small breakdown bc I thought I had ruined my book already I kept going and going and going some more and it finally looks good. So the payoff is not nearly as great as my polys, lumi’s, or prismas it still turned out good!! Glad I kept going. I just kept saying “Trust the process!” Mine took way longer to look as good as yours did after 1 layer!!

Totally jealous of your ability with the crayolas. I'm a smusher when I color. Can't smush with crayolas. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but Crayola has a "signature" set of pencils that are smoother and easier to use. Only comes in a set of 50 though. I hope they come out with a Signature set of all the crayola colors. i'd buy that in a heartbeat.

I thought that you'd do the one with the hippos..lol. But LOVE the leopard. You can tell it's a leopard because of the shape of the head. Cheetahs heads are very fine with narrow jaws. Now I will be quiet and watch the rest..lol
