Colourful Barz - London Graffiti documentary - par

In 2009 Josh Piehl, Will Dempsey, Tom Collister and Darren Austin were sentenced to a combined sentence of over 6 years in prison for £60,000 worth of damage to the south eastern train line. In this documentary we follow the life of Josh Piehl, we dig deeper finding out who Josh Piehl really is, where he's come from and his plans of sharing with the world his raw artistic talent.

As soon as you start doing trains it get's serious. Court seems to value the clean up of a train 1000x the value of the clean up of a trackside. Vamp got screwed not really for his trackside graff, but actually the trains he painted. If you do a train, the court values everything in the loss of service, loss of customer income etc so in the thousands of pounds. Which is why nearly all writers that get sent to prison are for doing trains. Which is why it's also the most respected ;)

Vamp is a legend! I haven't been out of London for a while, but I'm pretty sure a lot of his dubs are still up. Especially the ones he did on bridges n shit, I still have no idea how he even got up there!

I half get this, but also, trains either get buffed quick, or often don’t even run. So why don’t people go the route of ATG or 10FOOT and other similar guys, who are painting high up, cool places that are really difficult to buff

Yes my Man Josh . See my Mzmarg tins in the basket on the front of my Next Postie Bike . I watched this guy early on , developing his style at Anerley ruined sports centre. When he first started doing characters . Think his first was Wychwood Hob Goblin, then he done a Layback Babe . After that , the sky was the limit for him , saw most of his Anerley pieces going up . Aem KO and Skam ( Halloween ) 🎃 production was the nuts ! ! Often had Aem with him , and I once saw Sober with him . Was all about 2010/11 Camera crew ran over a Slow Worm on the way out of the site and it almost fell down a drain . You should see his work now OMFG ! Bags of talent ! Graf on trains is beautiful. Thing is if banksy did something on a train people would love it and the train would probably be hung from a ceiling in some private museum somewhere. It’s bullshit, prosecuting someone for a donating a piece of art to society.

I don't mean to offend anyone here but I Live in Wolverhampton and Regularly travel to Wednesfield passing Heathtown area which has a lot of Graffiti, I keep asking Myself "Why is it all Aggressive & Edgy?", Heathtown looks a quite Rundown Area as it is with High rise and Mid Rise Flats!, Where is the Hope & Inspiration for People in the graffiti?, Not everyone wants to be in a Society of Gangsters & Toughness!, I would love to see more Upbeat & Optimistic type Graffiti on Display!.
