Creating abstract textural components with artist Donna O'Callaghan. In this fine art TV show episode Artist is interviewed with Sophia Stacey and Special Guest Graeme Stevenson of Colour In Your Life.
Donna O'Callaghan is an emerging fine artist from Gippsland in country Victoria. Her work features textural abstracts, minimalist compositions and more recently, increasingly complex palettes using acrylics and mixed media on canvas, canvas paper and board.
Donna's strong connection to the ocean can be seen in her art. Her art has a focus on climate change, impacting on the ocean and its inhabitants.
"I create ocean based artworks which incorporate corals, coral spawn, and the ocean which promote a conversation surrounding conservation. I love diving, and incorporate the feeling I get when I'm diving in my artwork. It's a wonderful feeling when I start a new artwork."

@@ColourinyourlifeAu So very sad to hear that. Chronic illness is so exhausting even without a terminal diagnosis. Glad you could get some time out on your bike though & get to enjoy being with another of our amazing colourful artists, sharing your beautiful underwater experiences. The sounds of parrot fish crunching on coral, the squeals, squeaks & groans of the world through that water doorway are unforgettable & truly magical. I feel the same as you, that looking into the water from above is nothing like stepping through the looking glass into that incredible world below the surface. I must thank you too. This series is really wonderful for showcasing our amazing artists & glimpses of our gorgeous country. Especially in this time of Covid annoyances. It really helps inspire & encourage me as a fledgling artist. Hope you have many joyful moments still ahead 💕
