Beautiful eye look. Colourpop has stated that they make the mattes with shimmer because it makes those darker harder colors easier to blend.

Ahhhhh....that makes sense. I like them because when you do blend them, it leaves a pearl finish. Not too shimmery, not metallic, just a nice sheen.

I actually really like shimmery mattes because if you want that color as a matte you can just blend it into a matte but if you want shimmer you just pack it onto the brush and it applies like a shimmer

I wasn't interested in this eye shadow palette because I have similar colors. I really like the eye liners from this collection. Colourpop's eye and lip liners are very nice. Ha ha cute kitty rolling in the grass looks like a baby lion. Love your eye look!

Love the stuffed olive look! I agree with you about the glitters - seriously how many people are wearing chunky glitter like that? Also don't see the point in those suspended glitter shadows, they basically end up a matte shadow on the eyes so to me just seems like a way to make matte shadows not eco friendly x

I was very interested in the part where you showed how the mat glitter eyeshadow’s perform. You are absolutely right! I’m disappointed, too. Some of those shades are absolutely gorgeous but when the glitter is gone they’re just matte. I wonder if color pop knows this or cares… I would love to have come little children look the way it does in the pan on my eye.

I may try to recreate this palette with single shadows. I typically cannot buy palettes due to a "talc" allergy so I buy singles from silk naturals or Sydney grace. I like to recreate palettes that way I can use watch have on hand :)
