Thanks so much for this video! I've never bought anything from ColourPop, but their lip products have always intrigued me. Signing up for their site recently, I've noticed that they have quite a large selection of different lip variations and this was very helpful in breaking that down! Just like another commenter mentioned, I'm usually super over whelmed by all of the different choices, that I just give up also, but I will keep this video in mind when I finally decide to give one of their lip products a try. This was SO comprehensive and helpful! There are a few formulas that I've yet to try from them, but it sounds like I'm not missing out on some, particularly those Lip Lacquers. Eek. My favorite formula is always a standard bullet lipstick, so I love the Lippie Stix (esp Matte X) and Lux Lipsticks (esp because the packaging is/was so beautiful). I also LOVE the FK Lip Stains and have recently fallen for the Glowing Lips. As far as discontinued formulas go, I miss the Lippie Balms! They had such a nice, plush feeling without being plumping or sticky. They should relaunch those under Fourth Ray.

My favorite formula of all time is by far the Matte X Lippie Stix. I've tried the Ultra Matte, Ultra Satin, Ultra Blotted, So Juicy Gloss, Just a Tint, Lip Oil, and the Lippie Pencils. My preference is for a transfer-proof/resistant, comfortable, re-apply-able matte lip and the Matte X formula is just perfect. The one that I wish I could've gotten is the Lullaby shade, which was only sold in a set I think.

My faves are the Lippie stix, fresh kiss glossy lip stain and the lux liquid lipsticks and glosses. Like you I loved the ultra satins. I haven't tried a lot of the newer formulas but I really want to get some of the glowing lips and lip cremes.

My favourite Colourpop formula is the Just A Tint. I really love those. However this week I've been trying the Glossy Lip bundle out from their initial release and I like these too. I shopped my stash a few weeks back and pulled out some OG ultra lip glosses too which I also enjoyed using. I've got rid of the majority of my CP lip products & have started again as they were either really old or colours/formulas I just didn't like wearing.

yaaaaaay affordable lip product videos are my top fav type of content. Oh trust me, for a creamy or glossy formula I want all the details I can get because the full color range might not be in store, in watching a video I can't tell how sticky it is, brands like to give ridiculous descriptions like 'matte gloss'(loreal pro matte gloss ugh) or straight up lie about the finish(maybelline vinyl ink - its on the matte side of satin, it's not flippin glossy and certainly doesn't stay glossy). I notice colourpop is bad/unclear about labeling the finish on their website so really people like you who are thorough are so helpful.

Wow!!! Seriously thank you so much for putting so much work into this. You’re always the first (and very often the only) person I watch when I need to check a product review. Honest, in-depth, closer to my style of makeup than other content creators. I truly value your opinion over anyone else’s hahaha. My current absolute favorite lipstick right now is Tiana, a lux bullet lipstick. Haven’t seen it in the website so probably a limited shade from their last princess collection. My favorite Colourpop formulas that I've tried are the LUX Velvet Lipstick and the Just a Tint. They both apply evenly and are reliable for all types of weather. For me, the Lippie Stix and the Lux Lip Oil have been ok, but I've had better from other brands. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the Ultra Matte Lip and the Glossy Lip Stain. The Ultra Matte Lip gets very drying and crusty on my lips unless I drink a lot of water before I wear them and put on a ton of chapstick. I recently tried a Glossy Lip Stain and it didn't spread evenly, plus it formed goopy patches on the sides of my lips.

Love this video. And thank you for saying good things about the Lux Velvet lips! Every person I follow besides you says they hate that formula but I love it! The bad thing is the ones I used went bad recently (they were over a year old lol) so I had to throw them away bc of the smell. Also for some reason, the glowing lips smell like they’re trying to use vanilla to cover up a more chemical smell… so I can’t stand the smell and won’t purchase bc of that again lol And I’m usually not super sensitive to smell! The formula is very similar to Elf’s hydrating lip core though, which I love bc it has that nostalgic watermelon candy scent to me lol I love the blotted lips, the smell is like vanilla buttercream icing yummm lol Ultra blotted Iip I actually like if I want something longer lasting. Fresh kiss lip stain got me into lip stains… I’m obsessed with them! I’ve also gotten into the lux glosses for summer, I like using them as a topper or the more brown ones as a stand alone. And I like the more sheer/sparkly So Glassy glosses also as a topper. I even have dry lips a lot, and like all of the formulas I listed! Also, are the glowing lip balms (ex: Hello Kitty) basically the glowing lips? Or are those different? My go to lips are the ultra blotted lip in Doozy (I went through one which I almost never go through lip products lol) and the blotted lip in Otter.

I just tried the glowing lip formula in the new shade Highland Ave and it tastes like crayons. I do not enjoy them. I really like the Fresh Kiss Lip Creme, the Lippie Stix and the Lux Blur lipsticks.

This was super helpful. There's been so many new formulas over the last year, so many of which I haven't tried! I must be in the minority but I like the Ultra Glossy Lips the best of the glosses and I like the little brush applicator. I didn't like the Lux Gloss, it's a thick feeling on the lips vs and oily slippy feel which I prefer.

Glowing lip and the just a tint tastes like crayons or play dough to me. I love the feel and color, but I can smell and taste it for a while after application so never wear them. The lux lipsticks, original glosses, and liners are absolute loves. At least they don't mess with the lip liner formula! The fresh kiss lip stains are pretty good, just not long lasting. I loved the original blotted lip, but they discontinued those quick :(

The lip oils smell like liquorice to me too, and I hate it! I refuse to buy them again because of that. I do absolutely LOVE the smell of the Just a Tint lip crayons, though - fruity scents always win me over! 😍💕

Does anyone know of a lip stain that actually works as a stain? I ordered two Colourpops lip stains and they didn't stain. Also, tried ELF's lip stain, didn't stain either. I want an actual lip stain.

I'm guessing many of their lip models have ultra pale lip colors. It's the only way I can imagine some of the colors showing up. Not just of the lip oils, but the lux glosses and some of the paler lux glosses and so glassy colors. Even some of the lux lipsticks, it doesn't look like their lips have much color peeking through. As someone with ultra pigmented lips, nothing looks like that on me, and there's shades I don't like on me because they look paler than my natural lips. They hardly ever look as pale in models though I've tried the fresh kiss lip stains, laquers and cremes, and while I do like them the cremes and the stains have a super strong chemical scent at first. And it might be because it is a red, but my creme leaves a light stain on my lips. I liked the lux glosses, but it's not my favorite gloss formula. I like the oils for a nice soft tint or a clear, hydrating but slightly shiny look. They have their place, but tint isn't it. II do have vibrant shades in most of them though. I have two lux lipsticks, in the matte and creme formula, and while I really enjoy the creme I find the matte to be a bit drying. I want to try the glowing lip, but it's too little product for the international shipping to be worth it.

I really hope colourpop will reformulate the lux lipsticks. Absolutely love the colours but even the creme finish dries to a tightening dry finish which is awful. The blur is horrible out of the tube straight on. Never tried the lippie stix because the lux was such a disappointment. I will not wear anything that is uncomfortable. The just a lip tints are just okay, didn't like the scent.
