Thanks! I wanted to Colt too also having been a Marine but the Tisas scratched the itch and is a better shooter.

Semper Fi! You won’t regret it, Tisas is really hard to beat for the price. I bought it as a cheap beater and it shoots better than my colts or Dan Wesson. Only thing I’ve really done to it is swap the safety spring/plunger because it was weak from the factory. That’s the only thing mine has “needed”. The rest is preference. Oh, and running Wilson combat mags, but I do that in all of my 1911s.

@ I agree with you 10,000% brother Wilson combat mags all the way for 1911!! I’m looking into it seriously, I was also looking at their BR9 DS I think it is the 2011 duty style. The double stacks do interest me.

At around 1000 rounds on mine; I had some failures early on, but I ascribe that to the garbage reloads I was shooting and one of the mags I bought having a weak spring. It's been running like a champ other than that, and with a little bit of work polishing and tuning, it's only getting better.

I have 450 rounds on my raider and I have yet to have a malfunction, Plus I love the 1911 pistol.

I think they are absolutely the best bang for the buck right now. It out shoots any 1911 I own.

Gonna get both. Raider to start out. Once I got funds to spend I’ll adopt the colt and give the raider to my son
