Dude, literally. Proportionally, I generally like 3 or 4 inch revolvers because the grip and barrel look pretty symmetrical, but these things look perfect from 3 inches to 6. I thought I would like the 4+ inch models for the extra vents, but the 3 inch looks so damn good 😅

Had mine for over a year. I’ve found my trigger smoothed over time. Also replaced with the wc rear and the gold bead and couldn’t be happier with those choices

I have a 4” Python & I love it and I do think the trigger is pretty good. I recently had a chance to get touchy feely time on an original Python & the trigger was waaaaaaaaay better. It was incredible, like I’ve never felt before.

I have the 4.25" model. I cut a tiny rubber shim from innertube , iinstalled it under rear sight. No more movement. Love Bill Wilson but I saved $110!

The best trigger returns are the smiths. But you are correct the python felt strong. It actually surprised me since my king cobra is real light.

I conceal carry the 3inch with IWB holster. Carry a speed loader as well. Gun is not hard to conceal.

I agree on the grips. They look good but not enough texture and girth when shooting hot .357 loads, tends slip in my hand.

I had trouble deciding which one to get so i bought all of them 😂 Python in 3" changed the rear sight with WC changed the grips with the altamont full snakeskin fingergroove Python in 4" changed rear sight with WC and altamont grips fingergroove. This made a big difference in accuracy Smith and wesson 586-8 4" this is my safe queen believe it or not Smith and wesson 586 L comp got this for wifey/me Smith and 686-6 4" this was my first revolver Smith and wesson 686 deluxe 3" bought altamont altai grips for it

Yes I upgraded the rear and front sight to the Wilson combat sights. Huge improvement

Main problem I have with the stocks is to thin and they didn’t round off the back or even try to blend it in with the frame. It’s just a sharp straight edge.

De tres pulgadas del cañon, lo que lo hace no excesivamente pesado incluso hasta mas facil de transportar, su nuez asienta la carga clasica de seis proyectiles, (aun cuando me gustan los revolveres SW 82 de cal. 3.57 ojala con ocho balas) pero aquello no le resta presencia e imagen contundente, con la pintura cromada le da una refinada belleza al revolver Magnum su empuñadura parece buena calidad. Se le ve algo duro el percutor o el gatillo, podria ser que esté nuevo y con el tiempo el acero cedera

I mean no disrespect but your trigger technique could be the problem with the smoothness. I noticed you kinda hook it deep thru the trigger while i personally put the tip of my finger on the trigger and slowly squeeze inward. It could be very possible that its just not as smooth but every new python and anaconda i felt was absurdly smooth and felt great

Try a new s&w revolver trigger and you will see why colt triggers are absolutely the best.get you a pair of goncalco Alves grips for your python they are very nice grips for the python.

Not really, it’s a higher grade finish than a smith. They are cheaper now than the originals were back in the 70s-80s
