What's the ideal length for one of these daily videos? I know an hour is too long, or at least it's too long for me to consistently produce on a daily basis. Is 15 minutes better? 30? What would help keep you stay on track, watching each video daily?

Colt I'd say 20-30 minutes is great. I am curious as to if you'll be covering all topics like your Udemy course? It may be valuable to have a road map laid out somewhere showing viewers what we can expect to learn throughout this entire series.

I think an hour is fine, but I'm stuck at home with my daughter. I made her sit down and do this with me as an extra learning activity since we're dealing with corona time. I can see how that may be too long for people, but if a shorter video still covers the bases then that's fine too.

I would say between 15 and 20 min. If someone is coding along and learning it could take around 2x's or 3x's longer to finish a video since they will be coding , stopping to look up stuff, rewinding, as they go along with the video. So an hr video may take 2 to 3 hrs for the student while 20min may only be 40min to 1hr for the student.

I have gone through your bootcamp courses on Udemy and have to say they are amazing. I paid close to 15k to do a bootcamp w/MERN stack and I wish I had found your courses prior to as I could have gotten better instruction and saved a ton of money. Your a great teacher. As a newbie learning and trying to make sense of it all while working with a structure and daily cadence, this series is re-iterating what I have been learning about the framework ..html and I feel accomplished that I can follow thru and type it out and remember html syntax etc. Visual Code is not as daunting as I thought😊 it would be. I did have an issue with HWK Day 1: my ul & li not saving correctly. Everytime I save my reverts back to being a bulletetd list as opposed to a child of headers

Had a problem when pasting in a text paragraph for the homework into VS Editor. The Text would all appear on one line, requiring scrolling to view it all. Solved by Preferences - Settings - Commonly Used - Editor - Word Wrap Set this to ON. Great Lecture.

You can try Colt's Js bootcamp 2020 with stephen grider.. that is a great course. after that you may learn react.

To anyone wondering if colt's courses are worth it... I did around 5 years starting tutorials, going to colleges and practicing web development, I learnt the fundamentals of html and css, with a lot of struggle, and not everything in detail, what I learn't from Cols bootcamp on Udemy I didn't even get close to in 5 years.. Brilliant courses, and amazing community. Would recommend it to anyone interested in starting web development.

What make me understand the differences between HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is the house analogy. Where is your html is the structure of the house, CSS is the design and styling of the house and JavaScript is the electricity that gives it power.
