Heya man, I've found your channel after being forced to take an extended break from work due to some mental issues I have. To spare myself from extra depression, I have re-ignited my hobby as a car guy, and searched youtube for people modding early gen Mazda 3s, since I have the hatchback gen 1 with the 2.3, been really enjoying your videos, the past couple days. I just replaced my rear shocks, my starter, and battery terminals the last two days, and it feels oddly good to have that kind of experience

First comment 🎉 I can't justify lowering my car when I have to already drive onto 2×4's so I can fit the jack under the car just to raise the front end properly. P.s your underneath is hella rusty lol P.p.s cool video

Every old mazda3’s underside is rusty dawg

Bro my underneath is clean clean, it's just old parts 😂 Sounds like a jack issue mate

@ultraspeedy4911 Mines not rusty and I winter the bazeejus out of it. Sounds like a gen 1 speed 6 problem

Is torquing them to spec necessary? I have all the tools I need except a torque wrench and also where do you jack up the car from the front?

You do what you want but for peace of mind I always make sure those bolts are tight as recommended

I really wanna install springs and a sway bar on my 2nd gen sedan and generally just be able to work on it myself, but I have literally zero tools. Is there a list of essential tools and stuff you can think of if I wanna start turning a wrench on my car?
@ColtonRichter2 ай бұрын
I think a screwdriver set, ratchet set with imperial sockets, a breaker bar of some sort. I did years of work without power tools!
