Roger Collins is one of my top 5 favorite characters on Dark Shadows. To use the word he said to the character, David, his syntax is impeccable. I love how the writers chose the words this character recited. Louis Edmonds' acting abilities made those words come alive for viewers. I didn’t appreciate his talent so much as a child, but as an adult, I can certainly appreciate his genius. The arrogance and sarcasm of the character is entertainment at its best.

Lou Edmonds brought a campy polish to the role of Roger Collins. He defined the character, really. It's impossible to see any other actor in that role.

Mr Edmonds had all the great lines; you included - you had to really - some of the brilliant dialogue as Willie Loomis is half dead, drained of blood by a vampire, as Roger Collins congratulates him on his acting skills - pure class. But one of my favourite scenes is when Roger, having roundly chastised Barnabas, Liz, Prof Stokes and David about their absurd claims ghosts are real. Left alone in the iconic drawing room, he feels he's being watched, and then finds himself face to face with Quentin. What a talent.

Is that when Quentin first appears? I'll nevt er be able to sort through the videos and I think I've deleted the stuff I've watched.

Every Episcopal Church I've ever attended had people like Rodger Collins and Elizabeth's Stoddard as parishioners. Although it was a fictional TV series, my bet that the Collins family were Episcopalians.

I've been binge-watching Dark Shadows, with captions on (I often need them to keep up with the dialogue), but for Lou Edmonds, captions are unnecessary; every syllable is as polished as a diamond. He's delicious, both as snippy, snooty Roger and as gruff, growling Joshua.
