Columbia is where they celebrated the very first Cinco De Mayo. Most people don't know that. Your history lesson for the day.

I lived on I-Bar Rd back in the day. Lots of time spent in the St.Charles Saloon. Painted the big sign in the Wells Fargo office. Great memories'

Very well done video. Absolutely the best one of the dozen or so I've seen about Columbia. I'd like to go but it's about 2700 miles away at the moment.

@@NedVenture Yep. I saw that too. I did civil war reenacting and living history when I lived in Louisiana. Traveled all over doing every different military impression including cavalry. It's not fun unless you can drag a horse with you for hundreds of miles right? I also did blacksmithing with a portable forge and giant bellows. I did carpenter and surveyor impressions of the period. So what I'm saying is your videos and Columbia are right up my alley! 😁 The videos are done in such a way that I can almost feel whay it's like being there having been to other historic places like Harper's Ferry, Old Washington Historic State Park in Arkansas and many others. Thanks for posting these!

We go here every year and love it! Too bad this pandemic hit and crippled the tourism for a year. Look at all these masks OMG. This video will be a time capsule for a section of time we struggled through. But Columbia is a beautiful little town. Visit the cemetery up the hill near the old school house if you get the chance.
