HIII!! this is a collection of videos and pictures i took during my first week at columbia university--otherwise known as NSOP (new student orientation program)! i wanted to share some of my adventures during the first seven days (ft. my lovely roommate who you will definitely be seeing a lot more of). this isn't really a vlog so much as a mash-up of videos i took, which you'll notice while you're watching. i hope you enjoy!

I want to get my dream college ( it is columbia ) I study a lot for this but it is really hard when you are not native English speaker. Sometimes I just want to give up but than I remember that I can live such things and it is very nice

Hi Maddy - I just found your channel and saw that you're in Columbia. Congratulations!!! My son, Nick Hu, whom you met at the Julliard program in Geneva is just across the river from you, in Princeton. I'm sure he'll be taking the train into Broadway often to check out the shows. He's also singing with the Princeton Nassoons (a capella group), and they have a Dec. performance in Carnegie Hall. Maybe you guys will have a chance to connect! Glad to see that both of you are doing so well. Keep up the good work!

Do you have to go to this? Is it mandatory for incoming freshmen, or can avoid this?

The orientation week is mandatory for all students at Columbia but if you have a valid reason for needing to miss it, I'm sure you can contact the school to see if you can skip it

Heyyy International IBDP student here... How difficult do you think it is to get in as an international? Acceptance rate is around 3.9% but what would you say for internationals? Is there a big ratio?
