It’s the perfect coat even in those really cold weather days, I’ve put mine on with a warm hoodie on those minus zero days in the snow or freezing rain and was still warm and dry They cost a little more but are well worth it. I tip my hat to you Columbia

Just bought the omni heat gold parqa. Hope this works well! Was between the parka and the puffer jacket. It seemed thin, so picked the more expensive parqa as well.

I've had a Columbia puffer jacket with the original Omni-Heat for years and it still holds up incredibly well. It's just so, so well made. Had to do an upgrade because I just got bored of wearing it for like 6 winters straight. Bought a new insulated jacket with this Omni-Heat Infinity technology and I'm incredibly excited to test it out in the cold.

the commercial I saw said it uses gold dots.. gold is a conductor not an insulator so I don't see how this works. metal conducts heat I'd like to see thunderf00t debunk this

It's not actually gold. It's a metalized polyester like they use in space blankets. The just patented the technology to colorize it. Gold would sell more than silver.

There are 2 types of heat: Radiant (IR) and Conductive (where the source is in contact). They are claiming that this reflects radiant heat and if it's fabric at the back of the dots there won't be condutive losses. That's my understanding.

@@Albert_1317 Моя куртка новая, надевал пару-тройку раз. Такой отзыв прочёл на сайте, какая-то женщина сетовала, что после машинной стирке начали отпадать золотые частицы. Свой коммент написал ещё не имея куртки, но всё же купил не смотря на такие заявления. В принципе, не вижу смысла стирать куртку таким способом.

Can confirm the gold coating comes off as glitter and gets in your clothes. Also doesnt really breathe at all. Mine got super smelly after 2 uses and needed a wash. Dont recommend

So what you’ve done is, you took that heat reflecting cover from car first aid kit, cut it into small circles, and glued on to amazing breathing fabric, and there you go, omni heat infinity as it is 😁
