I would really love to visit. I got my M.Arch in Boston and still love architecture. From what I've seen in videos, it looks to be a great place. The movie "Columbus" caught my interest and then my interest in Columbus began to grow. Wouldn't mind living there but I would miss being around my family.

I lived in Columbus, IN from 2nd to 8th grade. 1960 to 1968, loved that city. Still do. I live in Columbus, OH now.

I lived here from 2004 to 2006 and really loved the place during my job at Cummins. It's got everything although slow paced which I always loved and also you can save a lot in housing costs. Wish I can visit Columbus again in my life time someday

As a home-grown Columbus resident, this makes me proud of my town.

I went to the Frances Smith school in 1981. I was terribly bullied but the school was beautiful.

Visited once back in the 80's. Loved the architecture and civic spaces. I hope it's not as depressing as the comments seem to indicate. That would be disappointing and sad.........

It certainly differentiates itself from all the other small cities & towns that basically all look similar anymore with the same boring stores & restaurants.

That's the truth. I lived my first 15 years in Columbus and nowhere I've been to comes close to it's visual impact. I hope it's still a great town to grow up in.

yes come to columbus where they jack the prices up for those of us who live here, all to try and make the city a tourist site.
@Patriot17906 жыл бұрын
You can thank Cummins for that.

I was born and raised in Columbus. It's not what it used to be. The first apartment I lived in was turned into little India. They wanted to raise my rent $200 a month. It's down the road from the Cummins Tech Center. Cummins is not what it used to be. I work in the engineering field and I moved to Greenwood. Better pay than the majority of jobs in Columbus, and I'm paying not much more for a house, then I did for a one bedroom apartment in Columbus.

If it weren’t for Cummins, Columbus would not exist
@jtguns889 жыл бұрын
It is a great and safe city, but good luck getting a job here. Cummins brings people from India in for the higher paying engineering and management jobs, and the lower paying jobs are claimed by mostly Mexicans and people from out of state.. Arvin used to be a large employer, but was bought out by Meritor and moved out of the city. Unfortunately, the city is in economic decline. Most people that live in Columbus have to commute out of town for work. it's unfortunate.
@Patriot17906 жыл бұрын
No, it just changed to Faurecia. They still have a tech center, manufacturing plant, and a new manufacturing facility.

Columbus has lots of problems- lots of drugs, depression, violence.

its such a sad facade... more concerned with appearances than function and reality...
