There is an error in the cutting length calculation of lateral ties Cl1 calculation b= 200-(2*40 + 2*8) = 104 mm d = 450-(2*40-2*8) = 354 mm Cl1 = 2*(104+354)+(10*8*2)-(2*8*3) = 1028 mm. Cl2 calculation b= 200-(2*40 + 2*8) = 104 mm d = (450-2*40)/3 =123.33 mm d = 123.33 + (2*16+2*8) = 171.33 mm Cl2 = 2*(104+171.33)+(10*8*2)-(2*8*3) Cl2 = 662.66 mm. The weight of 8mm bar = 15.462 kg The weight of 16mm bar = 70.416 kg Total weight = 85.878 kg Adding 5% of wastages Total weight = 90.172 kg.

Correct me I am wrong, Cutting length of lateral tie 450 - (clear cover) is enough right? Y taking 2D. Note: I am from a commerce background, just started Civil work your Video's very useful to me. Without asking others....🙏

Thank you for using the videos. We have to deduct the diameter of lateral ties with clear cover from the breadth or depth of the column. 450 - clear cover - diameter of lateral ties. This will give the exact measurement.

Calculation of Cutting length of lateral tie is wrong B: 200-(2*40+2*8) should be 104. Same way to D should be 450-96= 354. Thank you.
