This video made me realise the music in the original Columns dynamically changes in multiple ways according to the playing field. Aside from an increase and decrease in tempo according to the jewels that make up the bottom half of the board, the music will additionally change to a more frantic, shorter loop once the music passes through certain loop points if the top four rows have any jewels in them. If you dig your way out of danger, the music will return to normal. Amazing what a game from the 1990s featured to keep players on their toes not only through sight, but through sound. It's making me wish that more games did similar things like this - I love dynamic sound design in games, and such an early example as this makes me feel inspired.

Saw @TurkishBullet19 pulled this in the past. Now, someone should max out the score and try to make combo counter over 99999
