This is particularly exciting for me: When I saw the video caption/headline I almost yelled out: "NO WAY!", haha! :D I've been quietly developing something code-named "DXSharp", and you can probably guess what the idea behind it is: .NET Core + DirectX!!! (Yes, it works, and has sample apps, including a translation of the classic "Hello Triangle" ... or as we game & graphics engineers refer to it: the "Rainbow Dorito" -- the most hallowed and holy object to all DeviceChildren, like myself, haha!) :D I used a mixture of generator + hand-written code because I'm not merely making a razor thin shim to sit between .NET and Windows SDK (a few of those already exist) ... I'm basically resurrecting the extinct ancient breed of *idiomatic and familiar* .NET wrapping/tooling around the whole DirectX 12 pipeline and certain, other bits of the native Windows SDK/RT (e.g., DirectML will be one of the next conquests) ... so, I'll be really excited to see/hear about any more news and development in this area of .NET and C# development!
