This was my favorite game I demoed at GenCon last year. I was blown away at the concept and I don't mind simpler gameplay (just means I can play it with more people). I preordered it as soon as I could and my copy comes in two days! Can't wait to get into it!

We played a demo of it at Handycon a couple of weeks ago. It is very pretty but we didn't like the dice mechanic.

I like roll to resolve games. I play a lot of Arkham stuff and in games with lots of theme I don't necessarily want something crunchy or brain-burnery. I want to focus more on the story and let the dice do the work (with some mitigation and management of course). Anyway, not knocking your personal taste but I thought I'd give the other perspective.

You pretty much nailed it on the head for me when it comes to gameplay. Just not enough meat on the bone. That's exactly the problem I had with Stuffed Fables. I really tried to enjoy it with my kids, we painted all the minis before playing and then gave it a try and......meh. It was just mechanics grafted on to the story. It really didn't matter what dice you rolled because you could always do what you wanted, 6 different ways, due to the dice rules.
