Not worth the extra imo, I'd feel better using the c3 as a travel grinder, it's small, robust and less likely to break over a plastic grinder. Plus you can buy 4 of the for the cost of 1 commandante.

Timemore has an aluminum body which is lightweight and quite cheap. As you may know, aluminium easily gets dented by blows, for example, if it drops to the ground. Sure, it won’t break like plastic, but as the thread that joins both pieces of the body is built of aluminium, if it gets dented you may have to buy a new one.

I'd defnitly go for the Timemore. I travel with one of them by bicyle so it's rough and it holds up perfect. The results are absolute repeatable. It's fast, well made and for what it is worth the money.

I am happy with my Timemore C3. So far it gives a consistent grind for my pour-over coffee and no retention or waste of coffee.

Not rich, so I need a grinder good enough to make reproducible coffee at a budget price, that's the Timemore C3 for me. I need excellence at a budget price, so C3 comes the closest. I'd rather spend the money over time on better coffee beans.

Yes, definitely. I’m using it for espresso es well. It does a really good job. It can grind extremely fine, the first 6-7 clicks are not even recommended for espresso. Espresso grind begins at around 9 clicks. It’s a fine thing to own as well 😊

I'm happy with my c3esp. Returned my comandante because they couldn't even make correctly logo on my wood grinder. Also it's so damn expensive and they don't even give accessories like timemore. I would forget the stupid plastic comandante uses on top which is getting bad look after short time, joke. Trailmaster looks like paper roll in bathroom

I only have an AeroPress go with me and it does not fit. Someone will have to try this with a full sized AeroPress tho

No. Porlex Mini will fit standard size AeroPress

Seems to me the Timemore aluminium case will be more durable when travelling than the all plastic case. Comandante grinders appear to be way over priced due to hype and an element of coffee snobbery and elitism.
